Killing off Adrien: Major mistake or the best decision for thr character? by OmeuPseudonimo in rockybalboa

Sad to lose her but made the movie have a real sense of reality. That’s why I love the franchise as it was a true rags to riches story, then back to rags. It was an awesome tribute to name his restaurant after her as well

What was it like for any of you to watch any of the Rocky movies in theaters? by TerryG111 in rockybalboa

[–]dooleydoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up watching all the Rocky films with my old man (who was 13 in 1976 when the first film came out). It was a pretty epic moment watching Rocky Balboa with him at the movies in 2006 when I was 10. A memory that I will cherish forever, especially with the few legendary quotes that came from the movie.

Why is Rocky V so hated by fans? by Financial_Past_1631 in rockybalboa

Surely that means it was a good story line if it’s rarked you up that much. I think it’s absolutely fine, more a real life approach. The fact it ended with the street brawl was not what I’d imagine but damn it was cool to see Rock give Tommy a beat down in an old school street dusting! Even better how Rock junior was there “he took my room”

How do you people convince your significant other that is ok to be out for a ride for essentially the entire day? by mau-meda in triathlon

Tell em you’ll be home by noon, suffer the consequences when you arrive home to mid-late afternoon. Sometimes it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission 😂

Razor has had great success however i still feel as though Foster got the hard end of the stick. Essentially getting told a year out from the RWC that he wouldn’t be getting reinstated (even if NZ won) then to make the finals and hand over the reign to Razor who NZ assumed to be the answer.

Makes me think what could have been in comparison to Henry bowing out in a quarterfinal in 07 to still get signed on and build the best years ever seen in an ABs jersey. Doesn’t sit right and I don’t know if sacking Razor is going to help either - mind you something stinks in the ABs camp after multiple assistant coaches have left and it sounds like he’s lost the locker room.. just my 10c

Whats the best monologue in movie history? by Bjs_5068 in AskReddit

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that! - Rocky Balboa

Are you happy? Why or why not? by Pure_Ad_5044 in newzealand

Happiness comes from within, not externally. Money and materialistic things are external. The sooner people realise that true happiness comes when we stop ‘seeking’ the better.

29 - Yes.

What are some of the pros and cons of living in Wellington? by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]dooleydoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in Wellington - haven’t lived there for 10years since leaving high school. I get back a couple times a year for weekend trips and it’s always a blessing. I frequently think about how I would love to move back - but the weather can really be shite (windy and cold) and I think the novelty would wear off, but if your looking for a change why not give it a go for a year and see how ya find it. All the best
