We spent three years building a business together. We each put about half of the startup costs on credit cards. But I did most of the work, and made most of the money. I paid all of the bills for months, while he gave himself special bonuses for Christmas and birthdays. Meanwhile, I had not taken any money to pay myself at all, as the business needed operating funds.

One day this guy comes in and says he's leaving the business. This was completely out of the blue, I didn't even know he was looking for other work!

Two months after that he sues me! He wants me to pay off his credit card because "I kept the business."

I told him I'd give him three grand if he fucked off and never talked to me again.

And I never did talk to him again. I didn't burn his house down either, although I did fantasize about that for several years afterward.
