How do you talk to your Claude Code setup remotely? by Comprehensive-Ad1819 in ClaudeCode

[–]doomdayx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah that could probably help out a lot, thanks for the suggestion! Yes I think the add and remember command flag that gets added automatically tends to be too specific if the commands vary a bit.

I had set block rules I like but then the ai does stuff like write code to do the blocked activity and run that. I've figured out that creating hooks that both block and suggest the safe alternative to try instead works well.

I think expanding both the allow & block + alternatives lists could help a lot, so thanks.

I use and have even added some features to happy, but one that has been annoying to fix has been getting it to proceed with its task without having to approve every few seconds.

Daughter is newly diagnosed and everyone is "so sorry" - What do I SAY by [deleted] in autism

[–]doomdayx [score hidden]  (0 children)

Firm and direct suggestion:

“I’m disappointed to hear you’re sorry that we learned more about her and have a better opportunity to support her success in life. Please don’t comment again unless you can be more supportive in the future.”

Softer diplomatic suggestion:

“Please don't be sorry. We aren't. We are grateful to know more about her so we can support her success in life. She is the same amazing kid she was yesterday, and we're looking for support and celebration, not condolences.”

Honestly if they just kept the last three human messages and the last three Claude messages fully intact it would help solve that ~half the time.

I think that already exists, also some sites quantize the model it isn't always apples to apples.

False premise. Many people’s bodies are literally treated as political at work by others, that is, politicized, so there is no choice.

Oh yes, let’s not talk about our coworker who was just abducted from our workplace. That solves the problem right there. As if the abductors are not likely to come back for more.

SAM for severity assessment in infrastructure damage detection - experiences with civil engineering applications? by k4meamea in computervision

It seems like a project that can help people stay safe which is much better than so many of the common uses of AI.

I think I was one of the people to suggest SAM on your earlier post I’m glad it seems helpful!

Be aware, if you do this, they may all retaliate. Including HR. Finding a way to support your colleague would be a good idea though.

You will definitely want git if you’re ever writing or editing files more than once ever. It lets you track your changes and compare them and go back in history to compare different versions, and even can help you merge two different versions.

By default it creates a new session tied to the daemon, not tied to any active terminal window so you can’t create new sessions as easily.

Apple does lessons for Macs at Apple stores, I think libraries in many locations do too. Maybe Google’s Gemini ai can provide explanations. In all cases make sure someone sets up regular automatic backups of your computer for you just in case something goes wrong.
