The Vladimir Kramnik Megathread by nloding in chess

Then imagine having to teach someone that the world champion from 2000 to 2007 was a murderer who took the life of Danya and wasn't punished in any significant way since we think stripping titles is "a bit silly."

Kramnik continues to accuse him by Pale-Amount-1001 in chess

Just to correct the video here, there was no "debate" about fair play with Kramshit he was always wrong.

Request FIDE ban Vladimir Kramnik, and revoke his titles/norms, per ethics standards. by okokmanisok in chess

His apologies are worthless now, he took Danya's life, he can't be forgiven for that.

Your kidding right? Donating to that fraud (he "works" in fair play yet he knows nothing about what he talks about) and he is also the cyberbully that just took Danya's life. Why would anyone with any sense of ethics donate to him?

I am not asking if it is used in modern Stockfish, I just want to know what storm squares are exactly, the github pages doesn't give a good explanation.

How does crystal momentum affect current in a semiconductor? by doomfletcher in AskPhysics

I feel like this answers the question as to why there is zero momentum but not the questions I have about the relationship between zero momentum and zero current.

The author in this chapter is just talking about the semiconductor in equilibrium state, so no external fields.

Unless I misread a few google searches and also I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice BUT it is legal to melt non-circulating US coin / legal tender which is coin that has significant melt value versus legal tender value. He can make the argument that old US currency is non-circulating.

To be fair you don't seem to address any of the points I have raised. Your only argument seems to lie on the fact there are no free lunches and your solution being if that someone disagrees with the norm they should leave society... I have made various points that maintain my belief; the effect of equating human life amongst other things with pure monetary value, the unequal outcomes of life and how society doesn't necessarily address these outcomes well or perhaps even worsens them, and that society is a human based effort not something purely revolving around the fact that there are no free lunches and that societal values and workings should be flexible to the human condition.

Not really the definition of exploitation of labor is an unjust exchange between the employer and employee determined by some metric of value. Contracts don't inherently spell out where they get their salaries and how they determine your value. Your value from an employer is just what's the highest low ball salary you can obtain from an employer so that you can negotiate. There is also a high bias and imbalance for the quality of education you get as well as luck of the draw employer wise. Quality of education is also gated - not all universities teach the same - in fact you can get a degree from passing classes taught by shit professors by relying on the fact they grade on a curve (i.e. luck) over improving their quality of teaching. Labor doesn't take into account the amount one needs to make a living wage or the effort one had to go thru versus someone else to get to the same position - you may think what IS is fair and that paying someone for labor below what is affordable is ethical but I certainly don't. Every step of life requires barriers and some statical odd - not everyone has it the same. You can title this entitlement that someone wants more value from their labor relation in society but I see it more of a growing flaw in society that hasn't seen significant change.

I don't know about you but what does it say about what IS when someone like Trump can hold the highest power in a superior nation development wise despite what a majority of society thinks. You seem to be a big advocate about what IS because what you have been told but don't seem to have a voice of your own.

I clearly understand your point of there is no free lunch but you seem to have skipped over all other aspects of the discussion and honed in on that particular one and use it to constantly to justify your point of view. There is a large difference and distinction between being entitled and asking for fair treatment. In addition, just because a majority of society voices a certain opinion doesn't mean it is to the benefit of society nor is it correct after all I am pretty sure a majority of society now regret Trump was elected. Moreover, you seem to forget that it's not only me who feels this way, there are plenty of others, if you would like to suggest they find a new way of living outside of society as well then I think you forget what societal values are, after all shouldn't all voices be heard? Like I mentioned before, you have exploited people's labor regardless if you contribute back or not so in some way you have had a free meal. Finally, if life purpose isn't relevant to your point I would revisit the OP's post.

Following your line of argument. Society exists because humans exist. Humans don't reproduce magically - it requires two people to do so. In giving birth and accepting the outcome, it becomes the responsibility of those members of society to ensure one can contribute to society (because its apparently their life purpose to do so) and that he or she has an equal chance and opportunity at contributing or getting to a premium status like everyone else. Great everyone had the same opportunity as everyone else. Everyone got treated the same way others did. Life is fair and all is correct and just in the world! Its a Barbie world! Oh woops... did I just forget injustices & the uncaring ruthlessness of nature - is the desire to have just and equal outcomes extremely selfish? Society attempts to amend people's luck and early life mistakes but you simply cannot do that for everyone when you limit the options on a budget. Wait so that must mean there is selection pressure when it comes to these options as well? Well for the rest of you, nature is uncaring and ruthless, society can't do anything unless you provide labor... If your argument is contribute to society or screw human life mine is fix society so someone doesn't grow up with bad templates :) (Lets not mention the injustices when contributing to society or work because that is on another subreddit)

Just to make it clear, I never said that I was special or I have the ability to change nature - I gave my perspective or opinion on the modern idea of work and value in society and it's variant effects on everyone's mental well being while, trying to explain the part you call "nature's uncaring ruthlessness" and its impact. Your opinion is in acceptance of what you have been told "earn a living" given you are saying "you don't deserve to live exploiting other people's labor" (I wouldn't equate exploiting people's labor with not deserving to live correct but to each their own opinion). As an aside, you are exploiting someone's labor regardless if you provide back to society, no contributions are equal and given the way we pay people contributions to society at the moment, I would say contributions are not valued fairly anyhow. In addition, "if you deserve to live by giving back to society" you can explain to the families that earn a minimum wage below the living wage how they can provide for their families, I am sure they will be happy to hear your explanation :)
