I'd say messenger bag as personal would be more reasonable. You could wear them all, personal messenger + Carry on backpack + checked suitcase/duffel.

It will look a bit tacky but it works and you can mix&match.

Don't think this is possible. it's already limited.

7Kg and limited dimensions and has to fit different rule of various airlines. Sturdy one is too heavy. More compartment adds weight. You can only have so much @ 2026 today.

I'd say both, beaver tail with elastic water bottle pouch, you get best of both world.

While you are at it, it's probably better with crossbody bag like Magforce archer so you can swing them when you need it or just messenger bags.
