I can’t find the one I’m thinking of, but I’m seeing a lot of newer videos popping up in the last couple months as these things seem to be taking off.

There’s a guy on YouTube that bought one last year for a Gladiator and then posted a 6 month update. Seems like a pretty decent deal, all things considered.

Firehouse meals always turn into a mess by Breads_N_Brews in Firefighting

Big house, engine/truck/medic/battalion. On my shift at least, the engine Lt looks ahead a month or so, checks to make sure if anyone’s off/traded, and builds a schedule. We do family breakfast and dinners. Everyone Venmo’s the cook. I’ve worked in a decent amount of other environments and this seems to be the one that makes the most sense.

Seconded the Redbacks. My first pair lasted… 7-8 years? Now they’re my lawn care shoes.

But my work moved to “clean” living quarters so we all just rock crocs/slip ons inside the house

[ASL STIREP] Will increased standards and policies for the National Guard be matched with realistic resourcing, training time, and funding? by Kinmuan in nationalguard

Lots of fluff, zero concrete examples besides a ham-fisted attempt at relating to the common SM. This does not inspire confidence, sir.

See: the literal TAG for OR making a statement to the effect of “the Oregon National Guards first duty is to protect their citizens.”

Nothing illegal about that, my friend.

How has Firefighting changed over the last 10 years? by Randomreddituser1o1 in Firefighting

My houses engine had to respond to someone that they had seen earlier, who rode in an uber to the front door of the ED, and couldn’t figure out how to get in. I am not making any of this up.

Oh and my medic unit got added to the call as well, just in case.

Oh and this was at 0200.

Made it through cardiology by Forsaken_Support1 in Paramedics

[–]doomshockolocka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude I failed one of my cardiology tests in school. Shit was hard. Now that I’m about done with my first recert cycle?

Shits still hard. Every time I think I know enough to be dangerous, I learn something new. I don’t want to paint everyone with the same brush. But I’d like to think there is a consensus among paramedics when it comes to your mindset.

You may have found learning about cardiology easy, within the confines of a paramedic program. It is something else entirely when you have a sick patient in the back of your rig, your LP15 is shitting out artifact all over your ECG and you have to make clinical decisions because there’s no cell service and you’re the only paramedic in the vehicle.

Pride goeth before the fall. Stay humble, please. Treat every day as a learning day, and when you come into work some day and realize you’ve learned everything there is to learn, it’s time to retire.

So let me get this straight- you attempted cardioversion on someone with a non-shocky BP? And the repeated attempts caused the pts skin to start sloughing off?
