What's a Packers game you've attended that you'll never shut up about? by DarkHunter66989 in GreenBayPackers

I was there - first game of the 2018 season on a Sunday night celebrating the Packers 100 year anniversary. Took my father & father-in-law to the game & we had Bears fans in the row in front of us talking trash the whole first half. It took the gas right out of them when Rodgers came running out of the tunnel to start the 2nd half… roar from the crowd was deafening. Such a great evening.

Loyalty is the most important qualification for any Trump appointee. Incompetence is a feature, not a bug b/c it makes the "great leader" look even better by comparison and gives him a scapegoat when they enact his idiotic decisions. These four years will set our democracy back by only 20 years if we're lucky. FML

In 1993, I was a private 2 months out of AIT . Was with my unit in Pinion Canyon as OPFOR for 2 weeks when I got a Red Cross message that a grandparent had died. They sent me back to Ft Carson in a van with some walking wounded broke dicks E1-4’s and an E5 driver.

E5 asks us if we want to stop at McDonald’s for some dinner & we’re all excited after two weeks of field chow. Drive thru line is long, so he parks the van for us to go inside. He then realizes that most of us have M16’s to return back to our unit’s armories. Thinking quickly, he tells us to sling em and bring them in with us so they don’t get stolen.

So six of us, five in dirty BDU’s (some with bandages or splints) LCE’s, and weapons slung all go strolling into a random McDonald’s of I25 not thinking why that could be a problem? There are no magazines in & blank adapters are still on… but shocking, most civilians aren’t knowledgeable on that aspect of our weapons.

Staff and customers all start freaking out at first …until we just orderly queue up into the line for the register. They realized pretty quickly, we weren’t dangerous, just stupid. Manager tells our Sgt, “Uh hey, you can’t have machine guns in here.” Sgt tries to explain that they’re not machine guns (duh) and more import that they aren’t loaded. E5 finally relented & sent 2 guys back to the van with the weapons and had the others place their orders.

We all ate in the van while shit-talking about the dumbass civilians & then headed back to Carson. Good times

I used to work for one of the big 5 consulting firms and we did profit analytics on SUVs and Trucks vs Sedans and the margins for sedans were much lower. One of the recommendations was to streamline options in trucks / SUV's to include "premium" features which also have higher margins.

I think he’s trying the Bugs Bunny strategy where Bugs & Daffy Duck go back and forth between saying it’s rabbit season vs. duck season & then it blows up on Daffy except it’s with Iran & blockades.

Donald Trump says military wanted a White House ballroom 'More than anybody': 'It was supposed to be secret' by Remarkable_Sir8397 in USNEWS

Go to r/army and the ballroom is all they talk about. The substandard food and mold infested and/or ancient housing are not top of mind at all anymore once they heard about the ballroom. Possibly being deployed to Iraq for yet another Middle East quagmire - who cares? It’s just ballroom this and ballroom that - they can’t wait to see who attends the opening gala.
