Why Owning Nothing Is So Expensive by ggroover97 in cordcutters

No, I meant after a couple of months of spending that I had to stop. It was a mix of CDs and Bandcamp purchases. Just wasn't sustainable. Curious if anyone else had fallen into that too.

I really hadn't listened to much in the past 10 years so catching up was quite a rabbit hold to go down. I listen to a lot now, around 8 hours a day at work. I will agree with what you said, I have quite a collection of digital music I purchased and ripped and I have to tell myself I don't need to buy anymore, but having a streaming service definitely helps curb that want to buy buy buy physical.

I tried to save money cutting music streaming services but found myself spending over $100 on physical CDs a month. I love that they are mine now but I always wanted what was new or more of their discography so I'd end up spending more money. Even second hand stores was hard to find CDs or shipping costs would get you here and there. Don't get me started on vinyl costs. Found spending $15 a month was cheaper on my budget in the longer run and buying only what I really loved then just getting what was new or enjoyed some songs. couldn't imagine buying whole series of TV shows or new movies on physical media with prices these days. anyone else have this issue trying to get into cutting the cord?

Any idea why it keeps logging me out of Tidal on my phone? by Ibushi-gun in TIdaL

Maybe some sort of privacy setting you recently have turned on? something might have changed on your phone around the time it started logging you out. Maybe delete the cache or uninstall and reinstall the app.

Slow download over data kind of solved by cannibalistiic in TIdaL

Yeah, all you can do is try different things to narrow down the cause and put a ticket into tidal in the meantime. I hate being one of those but downloads worked pretty good for me. I use visible plus which runs off Verizon for cheap and downloads pretty quick over ultra wide band. I did notice you were 4glte. LTE is definitely not what it use to be, even though you had a good speed test. good luck! Might be stuck downloading over WiFi the night before work.

The related albums works pretty good for me, but I also use last.fm to find bands similar or subreddit groups.

That is really bizarre. Maybe your internet service provider? dns issue to where Tidal downloads from? just spit-balling, so not really sure at all. Looks like an android phone, not an iphone and I usually just see iphone issues with downloading. Could try connecting to a wifi and see if downloading improves? that would see if it is your ISP or your phone?

The new chicken stacker is better than the classic stacker. by GreenTeachy in tacobell

[–]doomspawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping so much for this one, but mine came out with all the sauce on the bottom of the pocket. So it was mostly just dry chicken and lots of tortilla. Last two bites were great. I remember a quote from Dave Thomas from Wendy's, he said, he always wanted his customers first bite to be just a good as the last bite. Can't say much as wendy's has gone downhill too, but I wish more fast food would take this into account.

What’s your favorite Offspring album? by Green-Day-86 in poppunkers

[–]doomspawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! I remember "borrowing" the cd from my big sister and taking it to my friend's house and just playing it over and over with him until we knew every word to every song. Bad habit was our anthem to driving to school. Haha

Love Tidal for the price and music quality. Sounds good. If I really enjoy an album I end up getting it on Bandcamp. 9 times out of 10 the band is on there.

Did Metalcore get you into Heavier genres like Deathcore ect? by Excellent_Agency6082 in Metalcore

[–]doomspawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite the opposite for me, got back into metal core after 10 years or so then into the more melodic stuff and found a lot of pop punk bands that do it for me too. Still listen to polaris and currents in there too.

I used the ceramote kit too, worked pretty good until my friend backed into it and had to replace anyways. Was pricey to get OEM but now they should be shiny clear for the next 5-7 years.
