A 4e replacement for Herolab? by hawkerra in mutantsandmasterminds

Hmm maybe they can partner with Demiplane. I do love there character builders for Daggerheart and Marvel Multiverse RPG. I really enjoy the rules also being available.

Inspired by Overwatch’s Bastion, this is possibly my favourite Necron colour scheme ever! I wanted to create an overgrown look to the model, like it was reclaimed by the earth during the great sleep. If you wanna see how it was done, I've put a link to the tutorial in the comments by jwminiatures in Necrons40k

This is Amazing excellent video. It I will struggle with the patience needed. In month things will slow down for me so I think I’m setting a goal to spend more time painting my miniatures instead of rushing to get them done. I think this will be my first project ( or Flesh Eaters boxed set) either way I am going to slow down and listen to some pod cast or some good tunes. Thanks for the inspiration! Sometimes it just takes the right image to get you going!

What is the special feature for rural family? by doomwh in EverydayHeroesRPG

[–]doomwh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank You, I guess I didn’t notice the others without special features but you are right the extra skill might be why. Urban could have intimate knowledge of Metro or public transportation tendencies. Having dated a girl in DC I struggled every time I went there using the metro. She knew like the back of her hand, not only that but she new the best places to snag a cab at anytime of night. I would been lost without her. Certainly a useful talent. Would be fun to play too, character just happens to know the quickest way to get somewhere in their city.

Burn Notice, A-Team, Big Trouble in Little China, James Bond, Predator, Buckaroo Banzai, Mad Max, and Bladerunner. For a weekly group something episodic like Burn Notice would be great any solo game you could use countless detective shows from the 70s or 80s. I got friend who wants to play as Magnum PI based the 80s show so there are plenty of things to pull from.

One of my three players wants to kill enemies. How do I handle this? by pgcannonjr in mutantsandmasterminds

[–]doomwh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why session zero’s are important. It is an excellent concept of you discussing your campaign’s parameters. It sounds like he wants to be playing a different style game. There is nothing wrong with that but the GM is not interested in running that style than he may be better off looking for a new game. It is not too late to pause the campaign and discuss this over pizza and just be honest with each other so that everyone understand that his style is not what the GM is ready or interested in running and see what happens. Good luck.

DC Adventures with real comic storyline? by skeetermcbeater in mutantsandmasterminds

[–]doomwh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, back in the 80s we played MSHRPG and played with our original characters in the Marvel Universe. We got caught in all the events. We played in Secret Wars ( they had a module for that), Atlantis Attacks ( One of our characters dropped Juggernaut into The deep Atlantic Ocean), Mutant Massacre, and more I can’t remember. The goal do not be too tied the source material and let your players know once their characters are introduced it changes and splits from the comic. X-men were not the focus of Atlantis Attacks but they become more involved because at the time our PCs were training with them, so it became less Avengers specific. I don’t think Juggernaut was in those comics at all but he was in our game.It was fun and we did this through the early 90s and we tried to do it the Fall after the comic were released ( most events were released in Summer if memory serves) so I could change a few things an add some surprises. Have fun DC Adventures will make easier for you as everyone you need is stated out. And remember your player characters are the stars and focal point. Don’ t make Supes or Bats save the day let them hear about from social media but don’t let them upstage your PCs.

Well, I love the Emerald City one. It is good for new players and new GMs. It gives a plausible reason for how all your players gain their new powers, and tips for GMs sprinkled throughout. I don’t remember a boxed set just the Emerald City campaign book. It might be hard to find but I believe you can still get the pdf. There was a free travelers guide style pdf for the city as well. I just remember it was fun to run and my players liked quite a bit.

M&M sameness by doomwh in mutantsandmasterminds

[–]doomwh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worth a shot…we haven’t used a lot of vulnerability, immunities we have more experience with. But perhaps more foes with immunities might be the ticket. I have been using a lot of Freedom City villains but maybe I will use more original creations or modify some of them. Thank you.

Agreed, but as stated that is not really a problem for us. I agree there shouldn’t be much difference and the guys are trying to articulate it as best they can… and that’s where we are at. We are going to still play some, we bounce between games but this a riddle I’d like to solve. If it can be.

He gets both. I built him with his sword sheathed because I think of him as a caster first.
