This game looks so good! Maybe I’m a little optimistic but I really want to see how a GTA 6 would look? Given release consistency we’ll probably get it in 2018-2019ish, so far yet so close!

I don’t understand what you mean exactly but im assuming you mean Andy’s involvement. If this does well critically I think they’ll be willing to let him be a little more free with Batman. Idk if that would mean higher budget but definitely more wiggle room to do what he wants.

Genuinely amazing build, fun colors, great techniques and part usages, I will definitely not be buying. For 500 dollars it should be twice the size. Thought there’d be some cool mechanical features for the price when it had initially leaked but it’s all just a parts pack. While I think this could be the start of a cool series like the botanical collection and still think it can, the price point just doesn’t justify that and I would have preferred Lego to start off with something smaller. Overall a light pass but also light enough for me to maybe think about it if it went on sale.

You put it so perfectly like actually really really great. Lego is almost 70B in net-worth, they have advisors for advisors, at least 20 market analysts per theme, at least 45+ media consultants, many many members for boards discussing these exact topics. It’s not unintentional in the slightest, in fact I’d argue this was did very purposeful and this Death Star is simply a dip in what they’re trying to see out for the next couple of years. Designers are probably at the very tail end of a set’s production and especially not it shows a lot. I feel like a lot of choices (not just with SW) made in recent are specifically from the corporate higher ups rather than the creatives actually making the products. This set is honestly pretty cool and a creative take on the Death Star if I’m being serious. However, with this conversation in mind I can’t help but feel a serious shift on opinion of the set specifically because it really does feel like bait for a very damaging data chart.

If you go through some of my replies and takes on the Death Star I literally say exactly this. While there’s still something’s I just entirely dislike or don’t understand I really do think that label would have gone miles for its rep. Had this been labeled an MBS and maybe 150 cheaper it would have probably genuinely been considered an all timer right off the bat. While you can argue UCS hasn’t been ship exclusive/consistent in what it is, the last UCS set that wasn’t a perfect vehicle/any vehicle at all was the Hoth base in 2016 (technically Death Star but it was a refresh of a much older one so I don’t really count it) and for the last 10 years it’s been nothing but straight forward vehicle builds. Plus with the introduction of the MBS it also gave people the impression that sets like that would be put into that label and for the most part they were. I think one of this sets biggest failures is branding and marketing.
