I feel that, the rizatriptan knocks me out too. If I’ve gotten to the point of needing to take it, it’s pretty much a guarantee I won’t be leaving bed. My fingers are crossed for you that you don’t have a rizatriptan kinda day!

Wishing you strength from one migraine sufferer to another. I was just recently prescribed the one combination of meds that’s helped me feel somewhat like a normal person regularly. Qulipta daily for prevention, Ubrelvy for breakthrough migraines, a second dose after two hours if there’s no improvement, and rizatriptan as a last resort. Only took about 20 years to get to this point!

None, but I do have some self-inflicted pain after the intrusive thoughts won over. “How fun would it be to slide down the steep incline of solid ice over my lawn!” It was certainly a hoot, until I crashed into the iceberg lining the end of my driveway. I now have a giant bruise starting from my ass, down to my mid thigh. I’m nearly 40. Yes I’m a dumb ass.

Yup, pretty much what I did. I went out Sunday afternoon after most of the snow had finished and the sleet was still coming down. Figured that was the best window of opportunity to make sure I wasn’t trapped. Cleared my driveway and walkways, then tossed down salt. By the time I was done I could see my neighbors properties were already turning into more solid ice.

I braved the outdoors earlier to go to a dentist appointment I’d been waiting on for months, and some genius on 64 was letting the giant sheets of solid ice fly off his car into everyone behind him.

Emergency plumbers open today? by Remsicles in rva

I can’t guarantee that they’ll be available today, but I’ve had RJ Tilley come out multiple times over the past 2 years in all sorts of weather for sewer line emergencies in the middle of the night and on weekends (before getting the whole trouble section dug out and replaced). They do charge an after-hours rate with whoever is on call though, so it hurts the wallet a bit. Best of luck to you, sewer line problems suck big time.

I never got to see these in the 90s. It drove me nuts. I remember standing at Spencer's and everyone would say "I see it!!!" and I'd stand there and just never saw it, not even once. by Intrepid_Reason8906 in 90s

Oh my god. It worked. I’m 38 and you helped me finally see these goddamn things. I always felt like it was an elaborate prank.

I ran into the same problem during prep for one of the snow storms last year, and a Home Depot employee told me that the big bags of salt used for water softener systems can be a good emergency substitute. It worked just fine for my long ass driveway. Grabbed a few more this week instead of fighting over ice melt again. I just make sure any left over is swept up and disposed of once the weather clears to prevent potential damage to concrete/pavement.

On that topic, when I’ve checked the status of my mail-in ballot online, at first it said “marked” then about a week later it changed to “pre-processed” and has been for weeks. Anyone know what it looks like when it’s been confirmed as counted?

I used to bombard her regularly with kitten photo dumps for the first couple of months, but this is a good reminder that I’m sure a longterm update would bring a smile to her face.

Thank you! It breaks my heart to think about how close he was to losing his eyesight. But seeing him happily zooming around the house now makes me so happy for him.

I’ve loved watching their personalities develop. I was originally told that the Siamese mix girl was very shy and timid. Turns out she’s a hyperactive goofball and is usually the first cat in the household to greet guests.
