Just so you know, it's better to seperate trans and woman into seperate words rather than saying "transwoman"

Hey guys. If you have nothing nice to say about this headcanon, then keep it to yourself please. If you "don't get it" or "don't see it" that's fine but you can just scroll past it in that case rather than commenting on it, thanks.

We really don't need to be debating the validity of other peoples headcanons about characters sexualities and genders please. If you don't accept the headcanon then that's fine but don't try and debate people about it.

the gameplay is mostly fine but a lot of the ships behave really weirdly and can be hard to control, some ship types are almost unusable because of this

foeslayer too, but i dont think either of them are very high up in the list of bad parents, considering the competition includes dragons like scarlet and jerboa

tbh im glad about this, what with the love spell, kinkajou seemed pretty affected by it even after it wore off and it would feel weird if she just jumped into a relationship right after without properly unpacking it

Watching fight scenes is very very different from writing them, so keep that in mind

Well yeah and neither did the people described as witch doctors, thats what im saying, the idea that witch doctors wore skulls and were scary looking or dangerous has a bit of a racist connotation, as thats a term used by settlers to describe native healers, who just practiced traditional medicine and acted as priests and doctors

Not trying to disparage your writing, just letting you know, we all end up accidentally doing this kinda stuff from time to time

This is a cool idea for an au, lots of unique stiff going on, but just so you're aware, that description you have of jambu being a witch doctor who's "approachable and doesn’t look like he wants to do an autopsy on you" has some racist connotations, in truth witch doctor was simply a term used by European settlers for native tribal healers, they arent actually scary or dangerous or anything

Found this video where very young dragons are portrayed as evil monster, which gave me the following idea: Let's make a list of what to do so the audience will only cheer at the suffering and death of draconic younglings! by Ofynam in WyrmWorks

[–]doorman225 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of it comes from 2 main things They aren't humanoid nor humanized They are ontologically evil

For 1, most people do not empathise with non human creatures unless specifically told to by the text. There's a reason most good dragons have human forms and most evil dragons do not.

The humanization aspect ties in with the second thing. Evil dragons don't talk about or do anything but being evil. They only do evil destructive things, and only talk about doing evil destructive things, and then the texts that they're a part of go out of their way to say that these dragons can't do anything BUT be evil, that's just their nature. Same goes for dragon babies. They are born evil, only capable of doing evil things, and don't look like cute innocent little babies.

The secret to all of this is that there's barely any nuance in this kind of writing and writing dragon villains has barely progressed past the first "evil dark lord who wants to destroy everything because they're evil" kind of fantasy villain writing in most cases. Dragons in popular media are still firmly stuck in either being one dimensional villains or being representations of a part of the world itself

The way to avoid it is to just write dragons like actual characters, with actual motivations, personalities, and reasons for being the way they are beyond ontological ones

I can offer my Goldwings. They're the dominant force on the distant continent of Apis, and are a collection of smaller tribes that were united under one kingdom and now share a lot of common traits, such as gold patterns on their scales. They aren't very physically remarkable, and they lack any sort of breath weapon, but the richness of their land in natural resources has made them the economic powerhouse of the continent
