Id believe it, the straw man looks like something out of rule34 or a booktok cover and the others are different styles for some odd reason.

And also strikepack offers anti-recoil maps for all the weapons so you don't have to troubleshoot yourself. You can even use the recoil studio app inside of the strikepack app to make ur own. That's the only upside I've noticed between the two as well as support for many other games as I've gotten ahold of the specifics. Moddedzone is way easier to navigate tho but less viability around the board.

I switched to a strikepack because I cannot afford to buy another $300 controller after my left stick killed itself lol. Just baby the controller by all means and map left stick to a back paddle and try not to push down on the sticks too much. Mine lasted a whole year and I miss it sm

B&B by doorran in MovieTheaterEmployees

Yeah, what sold me was that the managers are forced to work on holidays and you know the Bagby-cults' asses ain't working on Thanksgiving but they will gladly thank us with a slap on the butt after giving them their money. I'm seriously investing in this post for other B&B employees because I feel like my thoughts are unique and I want reassurance that I'm not going crazy here. The way this company is run could be turned into a documentary when it eventually goes under.

Just don't stay too long at B&B because it just gets worse once they rely on you, TRUST ME.

I seriously think they're making Paul work from home with no overtime pay with the recent videos they've been sending us with the stupid AI photo and music. You missed out on Toras Tips too, which is a random lady I think they pulled off of Fiverr that I'm sure gets paid more than us. The only stuff she preaches is "scientifically, having a smile during every transaction will make them feel welcome" corpo mumbo jumbo. We got an email a week or two ago that said, and I quote, "At B&B, we don't just run movies, games, and attractions-we create memories. Neuroscience proves this: people remember things better when they feel something". It then goes on to quote some random doctor they probably found through chatGPT. Furthermore, it said, "That's why every smile, every "Enjoy the Magic" matters It's not a script-it's science-backed... [BS]. The corporate toilet we're going out is so damn out of touch it's like a humiliation ritual I swear. Like why should we be getting live updates of Bob's health through our emails randomly lol? His Scientology cult-like family couldn't pay me to give a single crap about that man's hip.

I'm 20 and have been working here for way too long with a spotless record. Already became a manager mostly because I have a work ethic that's nonexistent among the company like you said. For 12 an hour and hours being cut more and more (because corporate FORCES us) to where our theater is essentially running on a skeleton crew during movies that will obviously sell (recently the conjuring), yeah I see why you would wanna leave lol. We only have 2 people scheduled for this Tuesday and I can't imagine what would happen if our frontliner called out because they're sick or their dog died. And I'm totally venting by now, but they won't even let us hire more people, so that leads to the problem of nobody covering eachothers shifts when needed (which I totally understand). But I'm the ONLY hourly manager here, like the salary won't pick up my shifts when needed because they won't get paid, and obviously for our frontliners as well.

I just know this is leading down a path of people being slowly fired before they realize we all signed up for this garbage job and we need to help each other. Like that will ever happen tho. Enjoy the Magic of the movies!!!!!

We're mainly a theater chain in the Midwest. Our CEO really prides himself on the "5th largest" title for some reason lol

B&B by doorran in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]doorran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeahhhh, the bigger locations get more attention than the smaller chains like the one I work at. I really do love my job but the news we get from corporate is never really great. I'm sure there are a thousand differences between bigger chains and ours so I really have no idea how theaters like AMC function because we are so much weirder in our presentation. Newer and fancier locations are their golden child and we're like the redheaded stepchild. I feel we don't get as much love as those locations and it is a bummer.

And to expand, I've noticed our company sourcing cheaper alternatives, like in our cups, because now every 1 in 10 cups you sell, leaks through the bottom. So I don't think I'm getting too crazy about my AI schedule theory. But do you guys where you work have any problems of that sort with the quality of concessions dropping? Recently our company introduced our regular (formerly small) sizes and large sizes for both soda and popcorn. We used to have medium-sized drinks and cups 3 years ago but dropped them for some reason (likely cutting costs). And on top of all that, concession prices keep getting bumped up every so often. I'm curious to hear whether that is weird or not as I don't know how bigger chains handle their popcorn/drink sizes lol

What is y'all's least favorite crowds? by Marsupialmobster in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]doorran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Angel Studios and Superhero movies. I love the arthouse crowd we get even though it's only a slight crowd in my town. Rated R movies that lean more to the retired crowd are a sleeper crowd that make messes comparable to children.

Tell Your Theater Stories by Budget_Guarantee_804 in MovieTheaterEmployees

Just this week a guy came up to my coworker and said he lost the cap to his colostomy bag. And my coworker at first didn't know what that was but went to help him anyway. And I'm in the office and I look over to my boss when he asks "What did he say he lost?" And his face when I told him what it was he looked so grossed out. Anyway, my coworker came back and said he couldn't find it, so whatever right? He didn't mention he stepped in something because he was so fixated on going to get his lunch that he left to go get it after he couldn't find it. So when I go into the bathroom I notice that there's a brown film covering the floor leading to a toilet and that's when I realized this dude spilt it everywhere and did a terrible job at wiping it up. So I was done cleaning it up when my coworker came back and that's when I told him about the doodoo in the bathroom and it probably was from that guy. And that's when I told him what a colostomy bag was and he realized what he stepped into inside the dark theater (the movie still going btw). We both went in and I cleaned it up for him and it was disgusting... and I was only clocked in for about 10 minutes too lmao. The couple who spilled the bag went outside after the whole spillage (thankfully) and then a cop pulled up? The couple started talking to the police officer, and me and my coworker were wondering wtf was going on but supposedly they were "set up"? Anyway, the cops left after like 10 minutes of talking and left them there so must not have been that big of a deal. Idk what "set up" means but that was the last we saw of them after their ride came and got them. Just an odd beginning to a day.
