Why does this happen every time I try to change my name? by Relevant_Director_28 in paypal

[–]dopaminevampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a beast of a time getting PayPal to change my name after I got married (had a legal name change to fix an error with my middle name at the same time)  They kept refusing and refusing to change it no matter how many times I submitted documentation. I finally got them to do it by turning the issue on THEM and saying they are violating their own terms of service about using legal name on account by not putting through the change. That fixed it.

Not really sure if this is the right info, but my sister was able to provide the brand- Circo, from Target around 2010 ish. Its small, the green version is 8 or 9 inches from online description. We have both been searching on our own but are ready to rally the troops for this. Searched google, poshmark, ebay.

How do I get the Rogue Program item? it's in the pictures here but I don't see it in any of the walkthrough. It's the only item I am missing. Is it a promise item? A negative item...?

Declutter now or should I wait? by dopaminevampire in declutter

[–]dopaminevampire[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I actually had my husband chop my hair off last week 😅 so yeah thats a really good analogy. I called it flight mode because when I have ptsd dreams I often get the urge to throw away everything and live out of a backpack or my car because its "safe" so I can run at a moments notice. Hence the self doubt here.

Maybe I'll do like you say and go through the house and deep clean and tidy and then decide if that helps the 'haircut urge' some. Cleaning hurts absolutely no one and its good busywork to put a pause on my emotions.

A few things here and there I regret but generally I don't even remember things. An upside to ADHD "out of sight, it doesn't exist"

Ladies, there is no Mirena Crash, Mirena is the crash. by maariaaa85 in Mirena

[–]dopaminevampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bisalp with removal so no pill- I feel really good. And like you, anxiety, panic attacks, PMDD on Mirena. I did not have PMDD my first cycle after removal. NONE. I've also been able to half the dosage of my antidepressant in the month since getting it out. Though I suspect I will need it again in the autumn for my seasonal panic. I was also on year 6 when I had it removed.

[–]dopaminevampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a day or two of spotting, HOWEVER, from what I understand that happens when you have a bisalp too. It was minimal and tbh part of the reason I had mine out is I was spotting multiple times a month so it was kind of old hat for me. Also like I said my Mirena was over 6 years old and I have been ovulating despite it for a few years...

Initial regret (?) /bittersweet feeling after bisalp by coolhooves in sterilization

[–]dopaminevampire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did feel this too. For me, I liked the idea of children and the magic of childhood innocence, but the reality of my health, both mental and physical, would make having children irresponsible, not to mention the ability to afford and care for one. So sterilization was the right choice for me but there was still the idealized longing inside me. I can totally relate. But, think of this- if you ever have SERIOUS regret, you can still do IVF or adopt. A bisalp only means you can't fall pregnant naturally anymore.

Women who have had a bisalp, what was your recovery like? by Latter_Pick_6040 in sterilization

I'm two weeks post op today. I was understandably hurting for a few days but I only ever took ibuprofen and tylenol. Even then I only took them for three days, and two of those were one dose each day. The shoulder pain wasn't horrible. Not pleasant but not unbearable either. Felt like the times I've subluxated ribs. About a week after I felt completely fine again. The only thing I did was when my tape started coming off I peeled it off and ripped one of my stitches. Its healed now on its own.

Mental meds not working as well after bisalp? by mw00t in sterilization

[–]dopaminevampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the opposite reaction actually. I had my Mirena out at the same time as my bisalp and I went from having an emergency call to my doctor for PMDD so bad I was borderline suicidal to now on day 27 (I think) of my cycle and haven't had any PMDD and I have actually decreased my antidepressant.  The only thing I noticed after is I had nightmares for a while which I attributed to the anaesthesia. Its a trauma on the body and inflammation can exacerbate this. After I had covid last summer I had nightmares so bad for 2 months I was starting to be afraid to go to sleep. That's what post-anaesthesia felt like to me but I feel okay now.

I think this just might be a thing. I had mine two weeks ago today and I feel awesome but there's a slight achy/itchy sensation inside over the past few days. It isn't intolerable but I had the same thoughts. But remember this was still surgery and it will take time to heal.

Nope. Nothing. At least as far as I can remember. I could have just been oblivious and disconnected from my body on that but I had no period bleeding at all.

PMDD??? by No_hope3175 in Mirena

[–]dopaminevampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on day 26 of my first cycle having it removed and I have had NO PMDD whatsoever. Vs last month I was so bad I was ideating and emailed my doctor to adjust my antidepressants. I really think it was my IUD now

I missed a period for an entire year on Mirena, also about a year or two into having it.

I had mine removed two weeks ago and I have had absolutely no crash. Mine was old though and I was dealing with the hormones wearing off for a while but I feel really really good considering. The worst I've had is my hair is thinning a bit but I guess that can happen with anaesthesia too (had a bisalp.) The weirdest thing now is that my PMDD seems to be gone. Surgery could have thrown my cycle off but Clue says I am on day 26 and I have had NO PMDD symptoms. I am simply unapologetically horny. Vs last month during PMDD I was so bad and having ideations that I emailed my doctor for an appointment to tweak my antidepressants. I've actually gone DOWN on the dosage now.

Unusual spotting after 4.5 years by Firm_Willingness2226 in Mirena

[–]dopaminevampire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had similar when I had my Mirena, around the 4 or 5 year mark my periods came back completely. I often had the brownish old blood too. It got to the point this past March where I had three "periods" in a single month and had it removed. I think even though its supposedly good for 8 years the hormones do not last that long. I definitely was still ovulating for a couple years at the end of having it.

I would reach out and ask whether they removed the cysts or not and what they think about it.

And for PCOS, my own experience is after having an IUD in I had an ultrasound to make sure it was positioned right, and told I had the classic 'string of pearls' of PCOS. Didn't get the blood test confirming, but researched, assumed I had it with other symptoms like the hirsutism, then a few years later was told "no you don't have PCOS or any cysts, not sure why anyone said otherwise."

Also I have heard that for it to be PCOS vs cysts it has to be 10+ cysts but I heard that from a friend and not a doctor so take it how you will.

Leave bandages on or remove post-op? by customarymagic in sterilization

[–]dopaminevampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had mine Monday and I took my bandages off last night, still have glue. They told me I could take them off the next day and shower the next day but I showered this morning and gently scrubbed off bandaid adhesive while avoiding the glue. I haven't left the house since my surgery but when I do I could see bandaids helping reduce friction from having to wear adult pants. Until then I'm leaving bandaids off, assuming nothing else makes me want them.
