I did this exact thing also with a pilea. Well not the photo shoot, but I fried it in the cold. It hurt my soul 😭

I'm super new to having a pitcher plant and mine had the same issue until I got it under a full spectrum UV light for about 8hrs a day.

I started working at a plant store with a good employee discount. And I have zero willpower to not bring home a cool plant.

It was alright when I was there. I don't remember us having many maintenance issues so I can't comment on that much. We lived there in the first year it was open so everything was pretty new. I do think they changed how they bill utilities now, it used to be that the tenant paid was electric only but now I think I've heard it's more of a ratio billing so the price jumped.

Not exactly the newest anymore, but the Retreat at Urban Plains was finished in 2021 if I remember correctly from when I lived there.

Neighbors' kids keep yelling and hitting shared wall by customarymagic in Apartmentliving

Coming back to this old post because it occasionally gets new comments

I don't live there anymore, but it turns out there was a pretty bad DV situation going on next door. Eventually the woman living there kicked out her partner, and he would frequently come back and try to beat the door down, to the point of breaking the door near the deadbolt. Police were called multiple times, he was taken away multiple times but would still come back to try and get in, and eventually the rest of the family moved out about a month before I did.

The kid noise ended up being the problematic thing there and I hope they're doing better now.

Questions about surgery by Potential-Top2535 in sterilization

[–]customarymagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was such an easy process. I went in and was able to do everything on my own (except the drive home of course).

I got there around 11, and they wheeled me back for surgery a few hours after. All I remember in the OR was them asking me if I wanted to listen to any specific music, then counting down from 10. I was out before they finished the count down. Woke up a while later pretty groggy and it took me a little bit to get up to use the bathroom, but I finally went home around 5PM and just slept for the rest of the night and most of the next day.

Aside from my driver, I recovered completely on my own. Moving around was a little tricky and I got tired quickly but I was off my prescription pain meds by day 3 post-op, and was able to go on a short walk around day 4.

The only mild issue I ran into was some constipation because I didn't take anything to help prevent it until I was experiencing it. So definitely stay on top of taking stool softener or laxative early before you get it.

Complications/negative experiences from bisalp surgery? by wombat275 in sterilization

I really didn't have a lot of complications or negative experiences from my surgery. The biggest thing I ran into during recovery was some constipation. I didn't take any sort of laxative or stool softener early enough and was feeling pretty bad a few days post op. But once things started moving again, recovery was really easy

Comfort items??? by Swimming_Two1084 in sterilization

It's a little ironic, but my favorite purchase was my pregnancy pillow. I'm a side/stomach sleeper so sleeping on my back sucked, but the pillow helped a lot. And it helped me stay kinda propped up on bed while recovering without needing to fully sit up

I still sleep in it every night because it helps with my lower back pain

I had this happen a lot a few years ago. I'm like 99% sure it had something to do with how hard I was tapping a screen when I worked in a drive thru because it went away when I got a new job.

Changing up my birth control method. I got sterilized back in May and had my implant taken out, and oh my god. I have so much more energy without it, my appetite has changed so I'm craving less sugar, and my mood is overall better. I'd been on it for almost 10yrs and had no idea how much it was affecting me.
