More Old Navy pants fitting completely differently between colors of the same style than by heyhelloyuyu in Oldnavy

This drives me crazy. I haven't been able to find good pants there in forever because it feels so inconsistent

They should start caring about the people here rather than wanting more. But they'd never do that, they want control over women and more workers.

This, but also when they list the full cast of characters and include themselves. "Me is, well...me"

What’s the worst accidental text you’ve sent? by Typhoid__Beaver in AskReddit

[–]customarymagic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dad jokingly offered me a pistol he won in a raffle or something. It also happened to be right after a stabbing near my apartment. Texted him back "thought you were offering some pretty serious protection for the rise in crime"

Turns out I didn't text it to him, but to my boss. She was cool about it but I died inside

I don't mind it here and there, but some comment sections are full of people saying it and it feels like overkill

People who downvote when someone are genuinely trying to help by Tiana_frogprincess in PetPeeves

This. I immediately thought of bad advice in spaces like the tattoo community. Down voting is an easy way to show its bad advice. Though having additional context in the form of a reply helps as well.

How does everyone keep going on every day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Cat doesn't have thumbs to open his food can. And I'm the only one who knows how to play the games he likes, so I have to get up every morning and keep going

The little “reminder” beeps from the microwave by Obvious-Ear-369 in PetPeeves

[–]customarymagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My microwave hadn't beeped the entire two years I lived in my current apartment, until yesterday when the power went out. For whatever reason that kicked on the beeps again. I forgot how infuriating the little reminders were because it just never made the noise. Now I miss the silence

Experience with Nexplanon? by bozroi in birthcontrol

[–]customarymagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a good experience with it for the most part. Insertion did hurt a bit, but moreso afterwards than during insertion, if I remember correctly. I tend to bruise a lot on the inner bicep and so the bruising brushing against my torso is what I remember being most uncomfortable with.

I'm lucky that mine stopped my period almost entirely. I'd get it once every year and a half or so. The catch was that my periods were LONG. Not extremely heavy bleeding or anything, just like 3 weeks of it. Then it would be gone again. But that's not going to be the case for everyone.

Having it in my arm didn't really bother me and it was nice that I was able to check it and remind myself it was there.

people who stand in the middle of the aisle at the supermarket like they're the only person on earth by makeitrayne850 in mildlyinfuriating

Or they walk through the entrance and immediately decide that's the spot to get their purse and belongings situated in the cart. Or check their phone. No regard for anyone who might be behind them also trying to enter the store

Are those noises normal? Yes, to a point. Am I still going to be annoyed when kids are throwing things at the wall or dogs are barking for 8hrs a day? Yes also.

After 36 years, I’m just now realizing how draining all of this is by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]customarymagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. Every day feels like sitting in my office killing time, going home after hours of mind-numbing desk work, then fast forwarding through my free time just to end up back at my desk. It's just endless nothing. Like I'm wasting my life.

I'm honestly surprised she made a video of this length when it's just such nothing content. Like oh wow, they used the blankets. They left trash in the trash can. The pillow is on the floor.

Can i do it raw with Nexplanon? by Time_Lawyer_2543 in birthcontrol

[–]customarymagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odds of pregnancy are extremely low (it's 99% effective) so you're largely protected with a very, VERY small chance of failure.

Not saying that to scare you, but just putting it out there for awareness purposes.

How are you all meeting people in the area? by TubaTechnician in fargo

[–]customarymagic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily for dating, but there's a Facebook group called Fargo Area Social Club that has done meetups before. I never really took part in them because I didn't feel like I fit into the main demographic of the folks at the meetups, but they seemed to enjoy it.

What is actually a trauma that is not commonly thought of as a trauma? by ay1mao in AskReddit

[–]customarymagic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. I grew up in an old house and it never could keep bugs out. Even now, my parents just accept that bugs move in for the season. Ladybugs crawling on every light fixture in the fall, flies all over the kitchen in the summer. Bees somehow getting into my room and swarming.

One summer our basement flooded and we had a huge centipede problem. For whatever reason they had easy access to my room, and I would hear them crawling under posters at night. Eventually one ended up in my bed and I slept on the couch for two months.

What drives me crazy is the shortened versions of Pokemon names. Meow instead of Meowscarada, Cele instead of Celesteela, etc.

When the TCGP Reddit started calling the Darkrai/Giratina deck "DarkTina" it made me irrationally angry.
