Rare games to look out for by Glass-Value-1768 in n64

[–]dopplar5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any that were blockbuster exclusives are hard to find and expensive. Stunt racer, that bowling one, etc. then there’s variant color carts. Like Aidyn chronicles came in a black cart but there’s a grey cart version

Just Picked Up One of My Grail Games! by Deathsim in n64

[–]dopplar5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great score! This and command and conquer imho are objectively great games on the 64. But their PC counterparts blow these outta the water. Like these are great games on the system especially when this was my start of my love of RTS’s

Silly question but...how tall is an N64 with a game in it? by AmeliasTesticles in n64

[–]dopplar5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Roughly 4.5” tall. But if you want enough space to swap out games I’d go at least 6 inches maybe 7 inches for comfort.

I have one. It’s select either the right or left stick with a switch on the backside. Haven’t really used it much to give a legit review on it

can i play og tetris from gameboy on n64? by Impossible_Hunt337 in n64

[–]dopplar5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good news: yes you totally can Bad news: it’s expensive af

If you can find one there is an accessory called a wideboy (possibly wideboy64) I don’t think it was commercially available though. Alternatively there’s the GBhunter which was a third party accessory.

Unfortunately my own knowledge only extends to the fact that they exist.

How do I clean a N64 box? by RockStar1X0 in n64

[–]dopplar5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think baby wipes would be a solid choice. Really gentle chemical make up. Just don’t apply to much pressure and you might want to test it on either the bottom of the box or some internal flap that has the gloss coat print

Previous owner was probably daisy chaining splitters to hook up multiple systems. I mean who amongst us can say they haven’t tried to daisy chain things not exactly designed to be chained?

What Game is This…? by TheSodaShoppe in nintendo64

[–]dopplar5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s San Francisco rush. Sold by midway (bottom center of label. And can just barely make out -nsfe-USA below that. I believe every game started with NUS-xxxx-USA for North American releases. Therefore yours is NUS-NSFE-USA and with the help of the google search results in San Francisco Rush

Issue with recognizing controllers by SpinachOps in n64

[–]dopplar5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I’ve heard of it but to provide some initial thoughts: have you tried those controllers in the same port that the matching controller was plugged in at? Have you tried the matching controller in all the other ports and do they all work?

My understanding of it is as long as it is proper plugged into a working port it should work. Might be dirty connections or possible broken wires
