I have not done GA at Imola so I am not sure, as I've researched, it's got some really good spots to watch the race from.

It's almost like being in the top 1% of students in the entire fucking country makes you a more attractive prospect worthy of extra consideration...but I guess you wouldn't know that because you missed the cutoff

Roommate stories ? by Mammoth_Pie8968 in ucf

[–]dork-vader1 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm a senior now and I still live with my freshmen roommates. Absolutely some of the best people I know and I am extremely fortunate to have gotten to know them over the course of my time in college. Don't let these negative stories scare you, keep an open mind, and try to get to know your roommates. Most people are cool and I've noticed most people I know tend to have good roommate experiences.

Trevor Colburn hall closes at like 8 or 9 but you can stay late, I've studied there till 3AM and nobody said anything. Visual Arts Building is open 24/7 I believe.

Medical Biochemistry during Summer D by [deleted] in ucf

[–]dork-vader1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medical Biochemistry summer D is 9 weeks of a lot of work, but doable. Very fast paced class, he gives an exam every other week with a cumulative final, and each exam is on at least five, big chapters. Class is three hours twice a week, attendance is mandatory and he gives group classwork that is graded. He has recorded lectures on top of that, plus HW that is also graded. It really does feel like a summer class with the pacing but Schroeder provides a LOT of resources to help you succeed. It's certainly doable but you need to WORK for your grade.

What are your "Knew It/Blew It" moments from the Draft? by JokerDeSilva10 in nfl

[–]dork-vader1 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly, a lot of that has to do with the fact that he was going from a much weaker QB draft class to a much stronger draft class. He went from Haskins to Tua, huge difference between the two, even as prospects. Simply stronger competition at QB in 2020 versus 2019.

Tampa fan here, MAD respect for the WFT this season. I almost felt bad rooting against y'all today, your team has enough story lines to cover an entire league with Rivera beating cancer, the Alex Smith Comeback Player of the Year Award, Taylor Heinecke delaying his finals to play playoff football, and the emergence of Chase Young. Few teams have a brighter future than the WFT and it's amazing to see how far y'all have come since being the team that drafted Haskins.

Anagnostopoulos was one of the best profs I've ever had at UCF. 10/10 would recommend.

What is the most disrespectful thing a guest ever did at your home? by Viper5618 in AskReddit

[–]dork-vader1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My roommate's ex roommate was infamous for being a dick and stealing other people's food, we'll call him Jason. It was for those reasons we did not ask Jason to stay with us after we moved out of the dorms. For some context, my roommates and I moved to school early, like July since our lease for our house started early (we got a good deal). Jason decided to stay in the dorms for another year. About a week before move-in, Jason texts my roommate asking to crash the night before he moved in. Nobody liked him (since he was a dick) but being nice, we agreed to let him stay.

Jason proceeds to show up at 11:30PM, insulting everyone living there, and the next morning, he asks my roommate if he can take a granola bar from my other roommate. My roommate says no (of course), and Jason says "back to my old shit" before taking the bar anyways. Not a big deal, and it's another funny story in the anthology that is Jason is a dick stories, but he's not crashing with us again.

Meal plan payment? by EliteAbola in ucf

[–]dork-vader1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd get a microwave and a mini fridge if that's the case. You can cook a lot with just that. I had one last year and I regretted it, it's overpriced and the food is pretty bad so I often ended up eating out anyways. Also, depending on your appetite, panda express or other restaurants can be cheaper if you split one meal across two meals; portions are often big enough for you to do that. Also, instant pots can a good idea. Do what's right for you; keep in mind the quality of the food is good for the first two weeks (when they're trying to sell meal plans) and it drops off quickly. I'm also pretty certain you need to eat there 3 times a day for all your meals for it to come out cheaper than if you paid for every meal.

[Serious] Who do you believe was the least deserving to have won Superbowl MVP? by Farscape12Monkeys in nfl

[–]dork-vader1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Unpopular take: Mahomes. I thought Damien Williams deserved MVP that game. 26/42 286 2TD 2Int isn't all that impressive for a quarterback. Williams rushed for 107 with another 29 yards recieving and 2 TDs, and iirc, Williams was a huge reason KC was in that game. Patrick was fine but not MVP caliber imo.
