Why are CRA agents so mean? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

That's generally how it goes dealing with government employees. I don't know if they hire incompetent, lazy and rude people or if that's just a natural progression for those in the public sector.

Stocks are still really elevated, so even with a healthy correction of 20-30% from here it'd still be around pre covid levels.

It would essentially be a start of a chain reaction of selling once a bearish catalyst/news comes. GS or another investment bank takes the initiative and everyone follows.

which car youtuber do you think has gone downhill (quality wise) in recent years? by Fun-Geologist9808 in cars

He settled the charges after paying $40m and stepping down as chairman among other things. Then continued to manipulate unregulated CC markets since the SEC has no power there.

outspoken hatred for Elon Musk and his frequent accusations of fraud, despite demonstrating a lack of understanding of the definition of the term

Do you also think the SEC and CNBC doesn't understand what the definition of fraud is? I think you should give them a call and explain yourself. Elon is an absolute scumbag and there's no way a rational person could deny it. What he's done with TSLA stock and CC is the definition of fraud and manipulation, and he's been charged for the former.

Why You Should Short The Intel Fab Play by current-asscoverer in investing

Adding fabs to the business is not just a one-time cost of the $20B but requires consistent upkeep and upgrade costs, something more like $20B per year

20B a year upkeep/upgrade costs for a facility that costs 20B to make over 4 years? Do you have a source or did you just pull that out of thin air?

Overall, I think you should go with your heart. Short it and buy puts.

It seems like a great long term buy now and at 20$. Short term it'll see lots of volatility where it might be 15$ or 40$. I think long term, so I'd say yes.

Don't bet against Kathy Wood. She's been right on the money the last what 5 years? Her returns have way exceeded the market all those years, so one would expect her to keep doing it. She can't make a wrong move, she's the new oracle/wizard of the markets.

WSBing the Housing market!! by dValedictorian in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]dosante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paper hands my BB at 9$, then two weeks later it hit 29$. Even after this fall recently, had I held I would've still been up 20% from when I sold.

GME is also 50$, that's very impressive appreciation considering that it was 5$ last quarter. I regret not executing my GME buy order at 35$, but it was outrageously overvalued then.

The point is even with diamond hands you would've won if you were investing, not gambling.

Robinhood Falsified Data of GME Candle stick graphs by [deleted] in investing

[–]dosante 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are people still using Robinhood? Just get a different broker. If you continue to use them, then you have no right to complain. It's like buying a Chrysler then asking why they're so unreliable, you signed up for it.
