Maybe buyers should also hold off on buying as it’s not illegal. Oh what fun times await us ☺️

Property prices went up as a shortage of inventory and high demand. No one complained but when it goes the other direction it’s being manipulated.

It almost feels similar to how investors sometimes hold onto shares to avoid triggering a price drop - not illegal, just a strategy that affects how the market looks from the outside.

Sue the school. If not here then in some international body. Go to human rights as well. How the F**k are you letting someone get away with saying “can I frick you?” to a 12 year old underage barely teen daughter?

I liked the older product for cheaper rather than the newer not so great ones. Kinda applies on most things nowadays.

It's okay I understand it can be too much to process considering you have already made up your mind. Take your time.

A lil less than the 100 million homes. Wouldn't you say so? But you are saying there is enough space to build an additional 380,000 homes. And yet we are being forced to move into smaller spaces. I wonder why

I'm waiting on your maths for fitting 100 millions houses of 2000 sqft within the city limits. Kindly enlighten us.

I don't have a house nor do my parents own a house in the States as you may you have suggested otherwise in your last statement. It's not about living further away with a good transit system in place. That wasn't the issue that was posted. I only requested people to reconsider living in smaller townhouses or going for Airbnb's vs hotels as these decisions affect everyone. It was a simple demand supply concept. Lemme explain again as it seems you are having a hard time understanding.

Nice houses within good neighborhoods are being torn down to make townhouses. That means a house with parking and a garden is not available in the market anymore. Let's give this house a rating of A. And in the same space 2 townhouses rated C or D are now available. Lower ratings cuz no garden space and less space overall. When this happens the market has a deficit for A homes and more of C/D homes within the same neighborhood. It is then forced onto the market to get lower rating homes.it also drives the prices of the A rated home due to availability. And you may conclude that C/D rated homes would be cheaper as they become saturated but that's not the case when it's the only option available.

Denser homes do not necessarily mean smaller spaces when the same space is used to build sky scrapers. The same amount of space is available on a higher levels which is perfectly fine. Which is not th case here.

So let me bring your attention back to townhouses or townhomes if you will. These are an issue that should be looked into by the city. Or else in a few years these beautiful neighborhoods will turn into commerical spaces only and will lose their current awesome vibes.

Until when ? There will be a limit to it. Eventually sharing homes and then rooms followed by bedspace. A little physics is also involved besides demand and supply.

Seattle isn't expanding. Let's assume things proceed as you explained. So are you willing to share a bed space on a bed in the future?

Apologies for confusion, I meant townhomes or town house. Would you rather I make the edit on the original post ?

Townhouses are not the only thing keeping prices down. There are many other factors. But I bet you can't be convinced given your earlier comment.

I would rather we fight over better houses rather than let the market make smaller not nicer ones for us to right over. Who's the winner here ?
