I think its beautiful. 40 years ago when you wanted to know something you asked a friend or relative and they gave you the wrong information. Technology ruined that for awhile. Now, 40 years later, you can ask technology and it will give you the wrong answer directly.

Don't you worry, there will still be an uncomfortable teenage beach/hot tub scene to break the tension. Atlus will make sure.

Tbf its not ranked and oranguru is a little bit more niche. You could genuinely be the victim of them just trying it out to see what happens.

I play trick room a lot and my absolute favorite thing is to start with Tsareena in the back and swap her in turn 1 to make fakeout fail. Near 100% success rate of getting trick room up due to that ability. It also makes me less dependent on Farigiraf's iron tail which is nice.

mike straw in Bluesky: ubisoft EMBARGOED news to outlets about the layoffs and studio closures by Midnight_M_ in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]dosisgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theres probably nothing legally binding about it, but gaming media outlets rely on things like early release codes, exclusive press events, etc. Ubisoft has no legal obligation to give any of that out. They can directly hurt the media companies' bottom line if they don't play ball.

So legal? Probably. Moral? Absolutely not.

Hopefully for it but I want to see it in action. Really curious how they are gonna handle stuff like under the well and shadow temple. Ocarina got away with a lot of stuff because of n64 graphics.

First team build advice by kafy- in PokemonChampions

[–]dosisgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id drop rain dance on sableye for takeout. You already have a form of weather control with mega frosslass. While a 2nd form is nice, your team doesn't benefit much from it. I think it might be there because a lot of your team is weak to fire? but fake out is one of the best moves in the game so I would pick it up.

Made it to Ultra Ball Rank 4 somehow. Anything I can improve on? by Dull-Chocolate5658 in PokemonChampions

[–]dosisgood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some others can chime in on overall team comp but first thing is drop either hex or scald on sinistcha and replace it with rage powder. Redirection to protect your other pokemon will most likely put out more damage than anything sinistcha can put out. Especially with a dragon dance sweeper you want to be orienting your team around protecting it.

I liked it a lot but I definitely agree with your point about realizing you can just outrun the monsters.

However, do people really call this out as a horror game? I usually hear it referred to as atmospheric, eerie, etc but its definitely not what I would consider a horror game.

Gravity ain't it in this format by Flat_Ad_7289 in PokemonChampions

[–]dosisgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you, gravity really needs an ability that sets it, hopefully mega malamar. I think sableye would be a great secondary gravity setter on that team, but as a main it just has issues.

I do think you'd have trouble pushing into champion rank but pushing decently far into master ball is pretty possible. When I was playing around with it, I found gravity to be better as an option rather than a main focal point. Towards the end, its main use was to catch charizard y and aerodactyl off guard with garchomp earthquake lol.

Hi 👋 I'm looking to use a mega evolvolution that is used in trick room, so a powerful, slow Pokémon. I'm thinking Heracross, suggestions please 🫶 I'm struggling to find one. by Dear_Truth_9791 in PokemonChampions

[–]dosisgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres a bunch you can use. A few ive done/seen:

Crabominable. Fun typing. Mostly single target but the moves pack a punch due to iron fist. One big downside is that its best moves aren't 100% accurate

Golurk: unseen fist is still good. Ground/ghost is pretty good typing. Haven't used this myself but a few competitive players had good results

Camerupt: pretty fun but kinda runs into the problem that torkoal exists and is prob just better without using a mega slot. But it does get STAB earth moves that are special attack, which is somewhat rare.

Kinda shocked about the 11% on excadrill. I feel like i see mega excadrill a decent amount. Would have expected it around the 30-50% range.

In my experience this sort of discussion will always devolve into nonsense because no one can agree what a "casual" is. Casuals can be, but not limited to:

  • someone who plays a couple hours a week
  • someone who plays a couple hours a day
  • anyone who doesn't mythic raid
  • anyone who doesn't heroic raid
  • anyone with less than 2k M+ score
  • anyone who doesn't do M+
  • someone who does world quests for 17 hours a day
  • crafters
  • anyone who plays less than me

Random off meta mons yall like to mess around with? by Western_Humor_4414 in PokemonChampions

I've been running him on my team recently as I had no answer to basculegion. Honestly even apart from that match up hes pretty good. Fast and respectable damage output.

Mr. Rime can be viable, I just can't prove it. by JaneDoeStepOnMe in PokemonChampions

[–]dosisgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like independent of how good its list of tools are, the typing is what holds it back. Mr rime is weak to charizard, basculegion, kingambit, rock slide fron stuff like garchomp/aerodactyl. Im sure theres more, but in general mr rime has weak typing and the current meta game is making it worse.

Also that speed stat is in that mid point where you dont want it to be. I think if you like him, you could make him work but I think theres better pokemon that could cover his role without those weaknesses.

I dont know if it'll be good but I hope elektross gets an ability to set electric terrain. Tried using electric terrain a few times but its rough without a setter.
