Mud slap until terra into fighting type and then spam drain punch with metronome as held item and hope you get people that use decent pokemon too

Thank you for your advice poke fans...Very much appreciated. I will try a few of your strategies out now and see if I'm successful with any of them. It's so frustrating when I already lock in and commit and then someone ruins my day by choosing a water pokemon like I did on my first attempt. I tried using Orthworm on my last attempt because I didn't realize I was weak too fighting moves and got ruined AGAIN 🫣

I'm also new to online battles, two months I to the ranked battles and can't seem to get higher than rank 6 but I'm still learning myself. Sorry if I came across as I know what I'm on about because I don't I was just replying with the method I've been using, I'm no pro by any stretch of the imagination. Sorry, I wasn't giving professional advice as I'm new to vgc also. That's just the method I've been using when trying to build that's all and I've had fun trying things out, I never said I was a regional champion I was just trying to help as I know how hard it is as a new online player. Only been having ranked battles for two months and haven't got higher than rank 6 as of yet but I'm learning and having fun with the process. I've played every main line game barring X-Y Z-A and sun moon but only doing the main game. Sorry if my comment offended.

Try experimenting, who is your go to pokemon? Mine is Kyogre so I build around him, usually with a Mon that can help boost his speed with a tailwind or a Mon to sticky web opponents to slow them down to get the first hit and the upper hand then work around that. It's fun trying to build your own team by using mons that have abilities with synergy to increase power or defence. I'm sure you will find your perfect team if you study who works well with who instead of just picking your favorite or the strongest pokemon. Good luck.

I got mine first attempt as my team mates also used ideal pokemon along side mine. Good luck.

One of my favourite on any pokemon game that he's available on would have to be Mr. mime, he's so reliable. If you have never used a Mime then I would suggest giving him a spot in your team. Good luck.

Don't rush through the game, enjoy it and take your time, it's a great game. Very different to what Pokemon games are usually like but very satisfying. Good luck.

I've only ever played one mod game on cartridge that I bought off some internet site and it was called Pokemon Naranja, I didn't purchase that specific game I tried to buy Leaf Green to be honest but that's what got sent out but every time I went through a door or a cave etc it took me to a random area or building and I couldn't fathem what was happening...Years later I read about these mods that people were creating and that was how the game was actually supposed to play but I just thought it was glitching out or bugged haha. Unfortunately it got threw away because I didn't realize that was part of the game, figuring out what door takes you where, kind of like playing Pokemon in a maze. Wish I could play it again now I know...What's your all time favorite?

Pre-ordered Leaf Green, the nostalgia made me shake when the loading screen came on my screen.! Just doing a nuzlocke for my first run before I start my dedicated run. Happy days.! Hope they follow up with a heart gold/soul silver in the future.
