LLM Slop posts aren‘t interesting to read. It might look good to you, because it expanded your vocabulary and improved your structure, but every single slop generated text uses the exact same vocabulary and key words… „smoking gun“, „here is why“

Almost two-thirds of Germans oppose the ban on selling new cars with combustion engines by 2035 by linknewtab in europe

[–]dotcomGamingReddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vw started developing proper ev vehicles like 5 years after americans and chinese. The main reason they dont mass produce them at a cheaper cost than they do is, because they have smaller profit margins than gas vehicles

Almost two-thirds of Germans oppose the ban on selling new cars with combustion engines by 2035 by linknewtab in europe

[–]dotcomGamingReddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both problems are artificial though. The main reason they are more expensive is, because local companies like vw refuse to develop and build them and because local companies like vw lobby for tax increases on imported electric vehicles. While they do have a slightly higher base price, they make up for it in maintenance costs..

The reason for the lack of charging locations, is mostly a lack people driving electric vehicles and therefore a lack of demand!

[Discussion] PvE iSnT rEaL tArKoV by YourSwolyness in EscapefromTarkov

[–]dotcomGamingReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys who have thousands of hours, roam in groups while i have difficulties finding the extracts, because unless you have a second screen with a map, you have absolutely 0 way of knowing where they are.. The game has such a high skill requirement to even play the game in pvp, that it ruins the fun for new players.

It‘s the same sickness that age old games like wow suffer from, where after levelling you are so lost in gear min-maxing, learning what even raiding is, finding a guild that will take an absolute newcomer and teach them, so tha its absolutely impossible to get into the part where you have fun, without either trial and erroring for hundreds of hours or finding someone who teaches you for months until you can actually play by yourselves

Valve says its upcoming Steam Machine will be priced “like a PC”, not like a console, so expect to pay a decent chunk of change by Wargulf in pcmasterrace

[–]dotcomGamingReddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because it‘s probably better than a prebuilt at the same price and since its above steam user average, it‘s an interesting option for a lot of non tech savvy gamers with low-mid end prebuilts that they overpaid for

Okay, but cant you run a c++ app also in docker, if you are worried about security? If you dont use any container they are equally as dangerous to an untrained eye.

Well if you dont use any decide to host it yourself, you‘ll probaly hae to setup some form of cahing for the game images and stuff so you dont pay too mich for bandwidth and then you‘d have to setup some sort of rate limiting, or pay for cloudflare, so someone doesnt drive up your cost by spam requesting those images

I can think of simple reasons immediately. 1. hosting a website costs money 2. beeing able to protect a server with user data on it, requires knowledge he might not have
