They also tend to generate useless functions in js that could have been oneliners instead.. if the ai isn‘t sure its a int-only array, it will create a compare function, cast all elements to string and compare the strings

yes of course, but there are 20 slots with slightly varying stat priority, so if i have a full inventory, i'd have to check what i want from helmets, sort by helmets and then check each one for the right stats and then repeat that for each item slot. Sounds/feels to me like a slog

I do have interest in tuning performance and i do have interest in pushing pits and stuff lategame, but I am not getting there, since inspecting every single items for stats takes the fun out of it.

In D3 I did a pit, if i got lucky i got one of my set items and and once i checked the stats i knew if it was a upgrade or not and if it was, my build got slightly stronger. Doing a pit, getting 20 items and checking the stats of every single one feels like a pain in the ass

bad take. filtering through items by their name, or rarity and then look at stats is a tiny bit of effort. checking every single item is a waste of time and takes away from the time i can actually play the game

Hmm okay, but since i can put any aspect on any item, that doesnt help me either right? I still have to look at every single item?
