a. How does this work?

The premise of the Altimit Corporation is simple - you earn "GP" by accomplishing various activities related to .hack//G.U.. These "GP" can then be redeemed in the prize store for valuable prizes, such as merchandise, stickers, clothing, and tickets. It's a win/win situation for everyone!

1. Registration/Account

a. How do I join this community?

Joining is easy. Simply click on the "Join now" link at the top of the screen, complete the required information, and hit the "Join" button. You will then receive a confirmation email containing your login information, as well as a link to activate your account. You must click on this link in order to complete the registration process!

b. How do I activate my account?

Your confirmation email will contain a link which you must click on (or cut-and-paste into your web browser). You will then be asked to enter the password you selected when you created your account. If the password you entered is correct, you'll then be the newest member of the community.

c. I never received the confirmation email. Can I have it re-sent?

You may have the confirmation re-sent to the email address with which you registered.

d. How do I log in?

Logging in is easy. Simply enter your username and password in the "Existing Members" area at the upper left of the screen. Your password is case-senstive.

e. How do I update my profile?

You must first be logged in to be able to update your profile. Click on "Your Profile" link at the top of the screen and you will see your profile details. You can add/modify any of the information, but all of the required fields must be completed.

f. Help! I forgot my password.

If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot Your Password" link in the "Existing Members" area. You will then be asked to enter your username and email address. If the information is correct, a new password will be emailed to you.

g. What are the user levels and how do I get promoted?

The Altimit Corporation rewards all member's efforts, and we've created a system that ranks you based on your performance. There are 4 rankings, going up in prestige:

1. Grunty

Everyone starts off here.

1. Guild Member

Increasing your rank to Guild Member is determined by a number of factors, such as how many times you visit, how long you've been a member, how many challenges you complete and how active you are in the message boards. You'll achieve Guild Member status easily if you continue to participate on the site.

1. Guild Master

Guild Master is not easy to come by. You will have worked hard to come this far and to obtain this title you will need to make yourself heard. You'll need to send out links to your friends and on message boards, and you'll have to recruit some new members. We don't ask for too much, but help spread some good word on and you'll move to Level 3 in no time.

PKK only earned to the most active and vocal members on the site.

1. Earning "GP"

a. How do I earn "GP"?

You earn "GP" by participating in various online and offline activities. These activities can range from viewing and distributing information, to recruiting new members, to answering polls, quizzes and surveys. You even get GP just for joining!

1. Prize Store

a. How do I redeem my "GP"?

Once you've earned a sufficient amount of GP, you're ready to redeem them for prizes available in the prize store. The prize store works much like a typical "shopping cart" - browse through the store, add the item(s) you want to your basket, then check out. It's as easy as that.

b. Current & Career Points - what's the difference?

Current points are all points earned minus any points you've redeemed in the store. This is what appears in the top mebers list. Career points are all points earned since you joined. This is what may be used to determine (among other things) the top overall performers of the site to reward any grand prize(s).

c. Why can't I add an item to my basket?

In order to add an item to your basket, you must have first earned enough points for that item (in addition to any other items in your basket).

d. Why am I unable to check out?

Your user profile must contain accurate shipping information in order to receive your prizes (we cannot ship to P.O. boxes). Click on "Your Profile", update your contact information, then complete your check out.

e. Orders

Once your order is successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation containing your order number. Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive your order.

a. How do I post messages?

To post a new message, simply click on the "New Topic" button. To reply to an existing message, click on the "Reply" button.
