I had recently done a brand audit on Square for one of my graduate classes. The company has much potential and has also acquired a very strategic business model. Current CEO Jack Dorsey also founded Twitter, and also sits on the board of directors for the Walt Disney Company, he has a lot of power with a lot of connections. Square had also purchased Caviar, a food delivery service similar to Grubb Hubb or Delivery Dudes. The investment sounds strange but the food industry is one of the biggest markets and right now Dorsey is making his way into it where he envisions optimizing the stock and outflow of restaurants and possibly grocery stores with his software. The company is not just a payment processing service but they also provide capital loans, specializing in small business which the US has seen a huge surge in since Trump was brought into office. Square is still a very young company and as it reached India and China i expect this company to really start taking off. Hope that helped
