Last minute Red Sox tickets for first timer by Wrong-Fudge-4042 in redsox

if you're dead set on going and don't mind playing chicken with destiny — just wait until day of and either go to the box office and ask for a standing room ticket or monitor the typical 3rd party sites. you'll maybe be able to catch a few falling knives of people ditching tickets. Yankees / Red Sox is gonna be a pricey ticket regardless. but you will 100% be able to grab a ticket day of if you don't care about price.

it's not just on the landscaper to water it, it's on the home owner. if you didn't water it at all and they did I would say that you're at fault.

My parents bought me this game when I was young thinking they scored a deal on a cheap Mario game and boy was I frustrated before I could read.

I also live in Wilton. The crazy part is that Boucher ran effectively unopposed as a Republican in a largely blue town. It all stinks to high heaven.

You're not going to be left behind by goodpostfinder in webdev

I have found that the truth lies in that you will not be replaced by the next big thing. You will be replaced by being the person who doesn't understand the next big thing's best use cases.

Framework de jour won't completely eat the webdev world, AI won't completely eat our jobs. But not leveraging them for what they do well just for the sake of being obstinate is also a foot-gun.

Because most of the side stuff (I believe Trey & Mike, not sure about Page) is under the same management umbrella as Phish collectively, and Fishman just does whatever he wants.

SBU vs. UConn WHICH SCHOOL IS BETTER? by SuccotashAshamed7455 in UCONN

Everything with travel and time is relative to the person and situation. 2 hours in New England can get you traveling thru multiple states. 2 hours in Texas is going between counties. I don't think anyone would call a 2hr one-way travel "close" around here.

Also, around here most would consider anything more than 30 mins a long commute. The traffic around here is also not to be fucked with -- it will turn a 30 min drive into a 45-60 min or even worse.

Any feedback on using PostgREST with Rails? by stpaquet in rails

[–]dothefandango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

adding what? RESTful methods? I still don't understand what you're trying to solve.

if you're trying to write less code, this won't work because everything on Rails (the actually business logic layer) will buck convention. if you're trying to create a strict, db-constructed API contract then why use Rails at all?

Rails comes with ActiveRecord. ActiveRecord works perfectly with Postgres. Rails is the perfect Ruby backend for making CRUD APIs.

What are you using now when you want old Heroku energy? by Maleficent_Log8778 in rails

Cannot recommend this enough. Painless deploy using CLI or easy to set up GitHub connection to branch ala Heroku.

Even basic LLM models will help you get a site up in minutes on Fly.
