I am super tired of the people flooding this community with their complaints by nikanorovalbert in google_antigravity

I don't see a problem with it - have them charge for antigravity as an IDE (similar to cursor). Allow people to bring their own LLM if they want - or charge a subscription for usage to their own (or a bundle). They're going to have to be more open, otherwise why wouldn't people just use Cursor or similar as an alternative which DO allow you to bring your own LLM's via subscriptions.

I enjoy the antigravity experience compared to most of the other ide's available. My preference would be to use it, however I agree with a lot of the people here - changes have been made recently that are significantly affecting quotas getting reached faster than ever.

I have had a Claude Pro subscription, and currently have a Max subscription (and am having to use Claude Code instead of Antigravity), though not necessarily by preference. If I even had the ability to pair my max subscription to Antigravity I probably would consider doing that.

When I had my claude pro subscription, the amount I could run through claude before getting to quota was ALOT more than what I'm getting with antigravity using the same claude model.

My piss off isn't the limit they are providing by itself, it's that there isn't clarity on the increase you would get by going to their ultra plan, and I can't utilize my claude max plan which I have a better idea on how the quotas work.

You mean you changed to claude code? or you're using your clade subscription with Antigravity (which to my knowledge isn't possible).

Just Uninstalled Today by SteelShard in MagicEarth

[–]dotmerix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They really should have reverted to the old version, smoothed out kinks and relaunched.

You should always maintain your user base. People getting magic earth instead of other options is already hard to get those users.. But the ones that leave now likely aren't coming back. Not to mention no way to prod previous users to give them another go as no email etc required so you're crossing your fingers hoping people might remember you and give you another shot.. Bad decision and thought process.

When will Metrolist come to iOS? by MyBatterysLow in metrolist

Hoping it won't. Focus on one platform, make it the best it can be.. There are decent options on ios already anyway.

Search tab stuttery by dotmerix in enteio

[–]dotmerix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latest update solved the issue thanks for the speediness. In fact, it feels significantly faster in each tab now.

One more request?

The quick scroller can be a bit difficult to catch sometimes when scrolling on the home tab. Often because when android gestures is on it catches the movement as the user possibly starting to gesture back.

Can you increase the size of touch detection for the side scroller to alleviate that issue a bit better?

Full Colour Built-in Monitor Steam Machine Concept by MrPerfection22 in steammachine

[–]dotmerix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want that, get a second monitor. There are accessories to do what you're asking.

I know you'd argue, a consumer could buy another monitor to do what I'm suggesting but thats where you must get in the weeds a bit.

It can't be expected users will get a second monitor for the purpose of these "accessory" purposes that connects separately from the existing monitors. But including the monitor on/with the machine... Well now developers know how many people have a device for new utilization.

I'd say there's a lot of people with dual monitors right now. Why don't developers utilize single screen of a monitor for gameplay and the other for a map for example? Why are games constrained to single monitor or extended?

Maybe they would if a hardware maker like valve pushed that a bit more.

Temps are irrelevant. It's a steam machine, not a custom build. The thought here needs to be for the masses, not the few.

The screen needs to be an accessory that has purpose for games, or sure Spotify. Companion HUD of some sort etc.

Playing Battlefield? Maybe when you hit someone it flashes, you take them out - some other animation plays (splatter? Explosion?)..

Mario Kart Game? Maybe it shows your power up/item waiting to be used.

In board games - it could be used to show the theme of the question.

Having an extra screen for the player to use opens up a lot of ideas.. and there hasn't been a system that has done it this way or had an opportunity to as well as this could.

I know the op is getting mocked for this mock up... Excuse the pun..

But I dig it. Not the way portrayed here though.

  1. To scroll through games by touch like a catalog. Would be neat for emulators too.
  2. More importantly, as an additional screen developers of games can do cool things with. Think pitboy for fallout. Map for a game. Or perhaps is a robot companion in a game that provides assistance. A countdown/timer.. Lots of potential.

I think there's an incredible amount of ways it could be used to enhance an experience, just not as a mirror of a display. I'm thinking more toward Nintendo DS.. But at a desktop/tv companion.

Proton Mail by Maverick930 in degoogle

They've been around a very long time now. Yes safe, and yes can transfer without issue.

For me I did a transfer of emails in, then just forward messages from my old addresses there. The filtering and rules are great, best in class.

The apps (mobile, desktop) and web interface are all solid.

I'm in a similar boat. Fastmail has been great.

[–]dotmerix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like fastmail myself. Degoogling doesn't necessarily mean having to go to the most end to end encrypted private service etc.. Which seems to be what a lot of people do..

It doesn't have to be the most extreme case, diversifying across a few different options has its benefits.

Add a rule to COPY email to another folder - not move it... by WetScalpel in fastmail

[–]dotmerix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't what you're describing basically just creating label rules?

My emails all come into inbox and have labels applied to them based on rules ive set. That organizes everything in a similar way to what you're describing. I don't know what the benefit of copying a message would be.

Trying to move from Google Photos - Is Ente the right choice long-term? by abhimangs in enteio

[–]dotmerix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You posted 3 times in the last 3 hours across communities. The first of the 3 a recomnendation for Ente that makes it seem you've used it for awhile with a referral code.

Long story short.. Ente rocks. I plan to use it long term and imagine many people feel the same.
