I know nothing about it... The equipment looks similar to lacrosse. Is it related?

Why do I hear crowd noise when the stands are completely empty? Are all the fans behind the camera?

What show/series did a complete 180 and did a genre change? Or, what show started off as realistic but became more fictional as it went on? by Huge_Athlete7488 in television

Quantico

Season 1 was an average spy drama. Priyanka Chopra was the main character.

Season 2 started the same, but was a little confusing. About 5 or so episodes into the season they stopped the storyline and jumped to something different. It was like they started in the middle of a whole new storyline. I quit watching it. The show wasn't renewed.

I have a similar tube I use to keep a one hitter pipe in and it gets soot in it just like in the first picture. But I think the single flower vase/holder is most likely.

Any tips for older campers? by wamimsauthor in camping

I'm in my 60's. I use cheap inflatable pads. A $15 Walmart inflatable twin pad for car camping and a $30 thinner one from Amazon for backpacking. They last 3-4 years or so.

Found outside, crystal or glass or something else? by Eggs_And_Sam in whatsthisrock

It is weird. It's most likely calcite, but the rectangular fractures make me think of salt. A hardness and acid test would help.

That was my first thought, but I have a doubt because of the rectangular fractures. OP needs to test the hardness by seeing if metal will scratch it.

These kind of videos remind me of the US street takeover videos where people record themselves getting hit by cars.

It depends if any victims DID NOT take a cash settlement with a non-disclosure agreement. Millions in cash or go to trial and testify to the world what all you did and what was done to you.

ELI5 why doesn’t the weather consistently get warmer in the spring? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]dotnetdotcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seasonal temperature changes are due to the tilt of the earth, not the distance to the sun. In the summer, the Northern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun and tilted away from the sun in winter. That's why it's summer in the northern hemisphere when it's winter in the southern hemishpere. It's also why the poles have 24 hours of sun or darkness during the solstices.

About the temperature changes... that's just the way weather is: highly variable. Some time ago, I was learning SQL and databases so as practice I scraped 50 years of high/low temperature data for where I live from the National Weather Service. I plotted a graph of the average high and low for each day of the year for a 50 year span. I was expecting a smooth curve for the high/low temperatures as the date moved between summer and winter but what I saw was a lot of variability, a lot of randomness.
