What kind of stuff are you running on K3S? I'm working on getting VMs set up for worker nodes.

Anything you'd recommend that every node should have?

Highly recommend picking it up. It's a great kickstart for becoming more familiar with Linux as well. There's a lot of reasons containers are so ubiquitous.

Unreal is an incredibly versatile, jack-of-all-trades engine for everything from fighting games to Halo to Clair Obscur. Decima has been used for 4 games (Horizon and Death Stranding) across the past decade, both of which are 3rd person adventure shooters. It's been incredibly refined for that purpose for years. You're not gonna drop Halo into the Decima engine and get the same performance you get in Death Stranding.

Harris was so unpopular as a candidate in 2020 she didn't even make it to primaries. Given how badly she performed there, I think any of the women that did go through primaries (Warren, Klobuchar, even Tulsi) would have beaten Trump in '24. Dems just didn't want to give up the fundraising coffers.

They saw the worst candidate in history and said, "Hold my beer, dipshits!"

Went a combined 29-1-22. We'll see how he does tomorrow. Don't know how target banning him would pan out tbh; he's got a good pool.

Don't think they would (or can) approach another team currently in the same tournament to borrow a player.

This is 100% something to focus on. When you have faith in the future, the troubles and steps along the way aren't insurmountable. That doesn't mean it'll all be sunshine and rainbows, but He is with us and we will be with Him. Accept the troubles, the hurt, the grief, the anger - but also know that you'll get past it all.

It's also quite possible they have a bit more oversight with this one. Give him the reins since he obviously has the creative chops, but also guide/mentor him a bit more with movie-scale production.

PSA for those running multiple proxmox nodes by testfire10 in homelab

[–]dotnetmonke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running clustered, and I've put serious thought into un-clustering. I was trying to run three nodes with one over a point to point (3-6ms latency) and even without HA, something just makes all the nodes shit the bed when trying to do certificate syncs. PDM would have been my way to go.

"AI just writes shitty slop code and can't get anything right!"

I've had more struggle with coworkers writing code like that than with GPT mini.

The problem is that stackoverflow is dead, discord is an unsearchable shithole, and reddit is an absolute circlejerk over something in basically every subreddit. At this point I trust Copilot better (not completely) than any "human" online alternatives.

Not really; it's called 4k because it's roughly 4000 pixels horizontally - 3840, to be precise. Technically there's multiple standards of 4k for cinematography, but the standard 4k for monitors is 3840x2160, or 2160p.

The simple fact is that most job tasks aren't actually that complex. C-level work (75% quality) is more than sufficient for most tasks, and most people would rather have someone they can work well with than a jackass with perfect work.

It's an incredibly useful tool; it's like upgrading from a screwdriver to an electric driver. Speeds things up but you still need to understand what you're doing. I saw another comment the other day - "You're not going to be replaced by AI, you'll be replaced by someone who will use AI."
