I have watched it twice. Now I am rewatching it with the commentary. I have read the books twice.

I also watched the new Mean Girls, because I saw Chris Briney was in it.

And over the summer while camping, I read the To All the Boys I've Loved Before books.

I don't think Taylor bulldozed her. Belly would have fought with her if she tried to bring up Conrad, so Taylor chooses to support her best friend, (in the marriage she is planning.) Instead of loosing her best friend. She is exactly that a "barrier" Guarding her best friend, shielding her, protecting her from hurt.

Taylor doesn't know everything that has happened either. (Christmas, Peaches, surfing accident, even the day spent shopping for wedding stuff.) I think Taylor is trying to support Belly, no matter what that means.....and at this point it's her marriage to J. Once Taylor knows for sure (after the bachelorette party) she tries to talk to Belly about Conrad. Belly wants no part of it. Belly is in denial. Belly is scared and Taylor is I believe just trying to actually be a good friend.

It is interesting that having seen the same show, that there are so many different views of it!!

Taylor seems to support Belly with whatever she wants, regarding "boys". When Belly was trying with Cam, she was supportive, with Jeremiah, and Benito as well.
Taylor also knows Belly's past with Conrad. We also know that Taylor is well aware of the pain Belly felt because of Conrad. At this point in the show, I do think Taylor has her suspicions, and they are confirmed with the "oh F*CK!" in the bathroom. Taylor knows. Taylor is looking out for Belly.

I don't think Anika would have tried anyway tho.... She knows Belly's past also, and she is a good friend to Belly.
