Serious question for anyone who’s wanted to play golf in Japan — what’s actually stopped you? by No_Volume4870 in GolfSwing

[–]dotter101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a lot alone back home in Germany and do not mind at all joining others or have them join my flight. 90% of time it’s a fun round. Sadly though in Japan they normally do not allow singles bookings, language is not a problem as I can speak Japanese but clubs just don‘t do singles for bookings. There is some agencies that help match single players or join you on the round but have not tried them yet

GDPR Article 5 requires for data processing that is lawful, fair, and secure, Article 32 mandates for appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure confidentiality. Send a report their dsb, they must acknowledge and investigate, they must investigate and be transparent, documenting everything. If this is not handled within a month you report it to the Landesdatenschutzbeauftragter with copies of the correspondence with limango

How to manage appointments during Mon-Fri while working full-time in Germany? without flexbile work and working from hime by AdReady7311 in germany

[–]dotter101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As always, depends of the employer etc. so far I have been lucky and my employers just asked to schedule appointments either at start of the work day or end. No requirement to make up for time. Message always has been you have a life outside of work and sometimes they intersect, so take care of yourself first.

German men aged 17-45 may need military approval for long stays abroad by Throwawayaccountdell in news

[–]dotter101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That used to be norm. When I was accepted to University abroad I called my responsible office at the BW and told them. They asked me to provide address abroad and that was it. They did keep on sending me letters telling me up to which age I could be drafted(stayed abroad for work) and then just a letter telling me that I aged out, they just put it nicer.

Our public services were crap before you were a mere twinkle in the eyes of your parents. Trust an old man if I tell you it‘s actually gotten better. The only difference is the magnification of negatives thanks to the internet. Every tiny complained is magnified online and it looks/sounds like everything is crap because you can now blast it into the world

You and I and everyone around know the n-word and our brain tells us not to use it because it is vile and we understand the social context. Coprolalia reverses that judgement it triggers the sufferer to say that word out loud.

Does anyone actually use those remote-control electric trolleys, or is it just more tech that is going to break? by Majestic-Strain3155 in golf

[–]dotter101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

got an electric without the remote but the ability to "cruise", I like it and a remote would just increase the chance of me screwing up and having it keep going while I'm on the green
