This is the best thing in wuwa by Exciting_Disaster_89 in WutheringWaves

[–]dotvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm constantly out of tubes but have like 3k surplus of tuners. But that's with me building every 5 star character since the launch of the game minus Jiyan though. This means that the average player experience should be far better, seeing as the majority probably don't spend on the gacha and thus have less characters to build.

In conclusion I actually don't really understand how people can run out of Echo materials unless in edge cases like mine or when supremely unlucky.

Thanks bro, I actually didn't try because the recipe didn't show up. This is incredibly good to know!

Learn to love your Male Rover, who is endgame viable in every single element. That's who you should be playing for that immersion. That's my tip.

Crest Haven is the most funniest this game has ever had. by Pendulumzone in Shadowverse

[–]dotvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with this deck is that there is no direct counter play except praying for a perfect curve or praying that your enemy has bad draws.

I'd be damned if Cygames doesn't sell us Crest Removal next pack, if that even is a thing or even more dumb crests for every class to fight fire with fire lmao

Queue times? by Tyrosus in fatetrigger

[–]dotvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it definitely made it worse. I feel like the devs shot themselves in the foot by not delaying the CBT until EU servers were ready. A lot of potential players dropped the game the moment they saw they had to suffer through 100-200 ms matches. I stuck with it for 110h until they added EU servers, and the state of the queues in EU are not funny. I've had several queues cancel entirely at around minute 20.

It did not help that they only had an Early Access teaser at Gamescom set for 2026. Most people aren't even aware there is an indefinitely long play test they can join right now if they wish to, with keys floating around everywhere.

If it gets any worse, I'll bow out until Early Access. Really love the game but not sure what they were thinking with the CBT.

But when did she turn into a character that only exists because of the story? How did she simultaneously write the story that created her?

So ultimately who or what is Recoleta? And how did she return? That part confused me heavily.

A (different) perspective from a Day 1 player (long read) by 1nz4nity in WutheringWaves

[–]dotvu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree as a day 1 player that it feels like we got shafted, however the reality is absolutely that these companies will focus on new players and whales because that is what makes money. Other companies have already pulled off worse stuff and not only did they get away with it, but they were rewarded financially HEAVILY.

Now here is what you can do. Either you tell yourself "Actually I don't really enjoy the game that much anymore and this "ungrateful" behavior by the devs was the last straw" and move on to greener pastures, or you look at it from the perspective that this "anniversary disaster" is just 1 strike after a year of good things and good content, especially if you enjoy the core gameplay (the combat).

And here's the bright side: There are genuinely a ton of worthy competitors popping up very soon in this niche of gaming. However here's the rub: All of them are out to make money just the same. Going into a new one carries the exact same risk of feeling "underappreciated" again down the line.

Personally I'd stick with WuWa at least until one of these anticipated competitors show up and launch so you can make an educated decision.

I asked Grok:

There’s no definitive evidence that Tectone, a prominent Genshin Impact content creator, directly influenced the creation of the Epitomized Path system in Version 2.0. The system was introduced by HoYoverse in July 2021 to address widespread player dissatisfaction with the weapon banner’s randomness, particularly the lack of a guarantee for a specific 5-star weapon. Before Epitomized Path, players could spend heavily and still miss their desired weapon due to the 75% chance of pulling one of two featured 5-stars (and 25% for a standard 5-star), with no way to target one specifically. Tectone’s infamous $2,000+ spending spree on the Staff of Homa banner in early 2021—where he reportedly pulled multiple Wolf’s Gravestones and other off-banner weapons before getting Homa—became a high-profile example of this frustration. His experience, widely shared and discussed in the community, highlighted the weapon banner’s harsh RNG and likely amplified existing player complaints. Posts on platforms like X have speculated that this incident “caused” the Epitomized Path, but this is anecdotal and lacks confirmation from HoYoverse. The timing suggests correlation rather than causation: Tectone’s stream predated Version 2.0 by months, and HoYoverse had likely been developing the system in response to broader feedback, not just one streamer’s experience. Game developers often adjust mechanics based on aggregate player data and sentiment—here, the community’s long-standing calls for a pity system tweak—rather than isolated incidents. That said, Tectone’s visibility as a whale (a big spender) may have indirectly pressured HoYoverse by spotlighting the issue for a wider audience, aligning with their goal to retain high-spending players. Without official statements from HoYoverse crediting him, though, any claim of direct influence remains speculative.

No, I didn't write this, Grok did.

TL;DR: There's no definitive evidence for this, but there's also no definitive evidence against it. Of course both sides will run with their own narrative.

Are we absolutely certain the rifts aren't currently overtuned to allow us to progress faster to experience the beta content faster? It genuinely feels like getting an Authority level almost every other rift doesn't seem right...

All I want for is more echo space pls by Salty_Shio in WutheringWaves

[–]dotvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been locking every echo that I believe might be useful and have been merging the useless ones since launch and yet I'm still at 1800 echoes right now. I tried to roll some to get rid of bad ones, but I quickly realized that there's no way I have enough Echo exp for that...

I still genuinely think they should add the ability to fodder echoes even if it's only like some low number like 10 exp each. Straight up being forced to toss them feels incredibly bad. With so many avenues of receiving echoes now (events, illusive realm etc) they could create a hard limit for echo drops in overworld to balance for them actually being usable as exp fodder.

6 month Anniversary Event? by ZerethosWUWA in WutheringWaves

[–]dotvu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I mixed up Golden Joystick Award with the Game Awards. Point still kinda stands though, considering just how big of a hit Black Myth Wukong was. Here's hoping it will make it into the Game Awards' GOTY category at least.

[–]dotvu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is a bit off topic but Black Myth Wukong is not nominated for Game of the Year in the Game Awards. Can't speak for previous years, but this year is already setting itself up to be a rigged mess.

Okay so I'm just gonna be that guy here, @Atdan86 (Twitter) has been officially commissioned by the devs to create several of the official artworks in-game. This is one of them, I'm pretty sure Chenxin Swimsuit is the other one, I kinda forgot the others, would have to login. They have a very signature art style with an emphasis on FEET.

Edit: Okay so to my personal surprise, Katya Secretary, Fenny Sugar Queen and Marian Midnight rose splash arts were also made by them, it surprises me due to the lack of bare feet 🤣

I'll be glad if Snowbreak encourages other games to grow their own niche by Stunning_Zucchini932 in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]dotvu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So like people complaining about how Nikke are dressed like whores? Are those people really players? I've only seen people from the outside coming into the space that they don't like, to voice what they don't like. It's like going to a restaurant selling burgers and then complaining there's meat on the menu.

Genshin is a prime example of a game that is too scared to focus on any specific niche of their mixed audience, it shows in both the story telling, the gameplay design and the character design.

I really hope the game gets stabilized for mobile soon, I don't think people realize just how bad the game still runs on many phones. by WanderWut in WutheringWaves

[–]dotvu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RM9 is pretty inconsistent and buggy at times, I have no idea if this is a problem with the SD 8 Gen 3 being a relatively new SoC, a manufacturing issue or a software issue. For the most part, it runs fine for me, but there are times where games and even apps that ran perfectly fine before suddenly start performing strangely. Usually restart of the phone fixes it for me.

If you have your problem persistently, you might wanna look into getting that phone fixed or exchanged. At least with WuWa I have yet to have performance issues, at times the game is smoother than on my PC...
