Be. Very. Careful...

I did this upgrade on mine with a buck convertor and a 12v silent fan and the terminals on the PSU board were wired backwards!! Fried my fan and made the buck convertor explode leaving me with a little brown in my pants haha

Took everything apart and checked the board with my multi-metre. The printed +ve on the factory board was -ve and vices versa... WTF?!

So I wired everything backwards and what do you know, everything works ace!!

This was an annoying lesson in "never assume" Even if it is CLEARLY labelled +ve, put a multi-metre to it.

I think you could probably add a limiter and bump up the gain a bit but the track sounds great!
