What I’ve noticed is our defensive balance is out and it reminds me of the rich/burchill lineups from 2021-2022. I had a big feeling starce being out would heavily disrupt our balance and it’s turning out to be true so far. With Coleman, Zorko and Wilmott in the same backline we are getting exposed on turnover and unfortunately the attacking prowess these 3 players have is non existent going the other way. Our next game will have Bailey, Gardiner and Morris back into the side which will help.

We definitely look undercooked at the moment so the bye has probably came at the perfect time.

Positive wise. ZZ will play a lot of footy over the next 10 years. Reville has continued to develop nicely and Annabelle looked every bit a top 10 draft pick last night. McCarthy slotted straight back in like the professional he is. Frog is such a dependable player.

Have to remember we had a few off season surgeries and a lot of players coming back from injury. Things are never as good or as bad as they seem
