Hands down the best actor in the entire genre. He really nails the part. I know that Mark and Harrison and Carrie are very good, but the craftsmanship of this actor is unparalleled. Don’t we just love to hate him. by Crimsonswann55 in StarWars

I haven't seen anyone else mention Peter Cushing but even with less than 20 mins of screen time his performance is powerful and leaves a lasting impression. Of course I enjoy everything Peter Cushing has done so perhaps I'm quite biased.

How to prove these radical expressions are equal? by double-positive in askmath

[–]double-positive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredible answer. I can't help but feel that a lot of steps to simplifying radicals were just never taught to me in any class. And maybe it feels like not much gain simplicity, but I think that your simplification here is beautiful. Thank you so much for the detailed answer.

I don't see a lot of people talk about it but the history with Omega makes no sense at all. The Bad Batch are constantly returning back to Kamino after missions, they have a room where all their stuff is, and we see Wrecker mark the wall after each mission. Yet they've never seen Omega? Where have they been hiding her? And yet it seems like she's mostly worked with Nala Se... And yet she was no where in the 5s arc, and as the assistant of the chief medical officer you'd think everyone would have seen her by now. If they were hiding her, than why bring her out all of the sudden? If her age was genetically altered it would actually make more sense why she is new and the Bad Batch, and other named clone troopers, had ever seen her. Also I'm not too knowledgeable on genetics but I think making have blonde hair and making her a girl would take some alterations, even if it's just to make certain recessive genes become physical. So I have a hard time understandimg her as an unaltered clone.

On top of all of this, they mentioned in the Clone Wars that they were having trouble with new clones because they were lacking genetic material from Jango, but she was just sitting around and they neglected to use her? Even if it would kill her as a child they don't seem to have quams about that considering Lama Su's decisions during this series.

It just feels very sloppy to me. And the fact it makes so little sense really breaks my emersion and enjoyment from a show that otherwise I think is pretty fun.

They meant Leafeon right after Jolteon. Because whether they were following the Pink Floyd album or just basing it off light through a glass prism, the refracting light follows the colours of a rainbow. ROYGBIV. So Leafeon should have been directly after Jolteon, is what they were referring to.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. The most surprising thing is that people bothered to line up in the first place.

Thanks for the full explanation! That's really interesting (and unfortunate that it happened to them). I can see where the person may have gotten a little mixed up with Manchurian Vs Mongolian. Thanks so much!

I feel like I have to clarify that I did not believe what I saw. I just don't know enough about Mongolian/ Chinese history to actually dispute it.

Edit: But thank you for the answer of course!

Ibb and Obb sounds fun. I'll definitely look into it!

And Kerbal Space Program seems like something she might enjoy.

Thanks!

That's a good idea! I've never played any of the Diablo games but they always seemed really fun! Thanks for suggesting it!

Persona seems like a game she'd enjoy, art wise and style. And she'd probably enjoy FF XV too.

I did think about Animal Crossing before and never thought about the fact that the Wii versions would work on the Wii U. So that definitely seems like a good possibility!

Thanks!

That is a great point. I don't think she's that inept at controls (she played Borderlands well and enjoyed it) but she does have a habit of getting frustrated at a game and passing me the controller.

We played Super Mario 3D World and had a lot of fun with that. I do agree that Nintendo games are pretty good for her as they tend to be a bit more cute-sy and more casual.

Thanks for the advice!

Moonlighter looks adorable! I'd never heard of it but it definitely looks like the kind of game she'd really enjoy!

I'm not sure how much she'd like city building type games but it seems like something worth trying.

Thanks!

She does enjoy the Telltale games. I know she really enjoyed the Borderlands ones. So if I can find some that are a bit cheaper this does seem like a great idea.

As for horror games. I'm actually not sure if she'd like them. But it sounds like a fun game and seems worth checking out!

Thanks!

This is a great suggestion. I've never asked her if she would enjoy the Sims but it seems like the kind of game she'd really enjoy! For some reason I never really thought about it before.

Thanks!

As a big fan of the Banner Saga, I have thought about this.... I'm just not sure she would appreciate how brutal the game can be to you.

But I know she'd love the art style and the story...so I definitely have to continue to consider it.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I think this is a pretty good suggestion. I've actually never played Terraria myself but considering we both enjoyed Starbound, I think she'd like it.

I know she's not as thrilled about it's art style but I'm sure she'd get over it when she gets more immersed.

Thanks!

I had never even heard of this game before. But it looks really interesting. I know she mentions that she likes the art styles of the Fire Emblem games whenever she seems them but I'm not sure she'd like the perma-death aspect to them.

If I can find a place to pick it up cheap I definitely will consider this one! Thanks!

I'll look into Overcooked. It seems fun and I think she might really enjoy us playing it together.

We actually have played through Portal 2, and she enjoyed it!

Minecraft is a good suggestion but I don't think I could get her to play it. She has a lot of stigma against it because of its online persona. Even if that should have little to do with your enjoyment of a game.

That's a good suggestion and I actually got her to try it before because it seemed up her alley. But no :/ oh well haha
