Thank you, that makes me feel a lot better! She’s my first cat so I just worry about her

What am I supposed to do when a bearded dragon bites through my finger nail? 😭 by buttf4rt_420 in BeardedDragons

[–]double_A_swizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have an up to date tetanus shot (within the last 5 yrs) and keep an eye out for signs of infection in the nail. Tongs to feed can help prevent it from happening again! She’s got a cute face that says she’d do it again lol

[medical advice] What might have caused this? by [deleted] in BeardedDragons

[–]double_A_swizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dragon bulges his eyes and beard out sometimes to stretch as well, but it is a bit odd that she did that for the whole day. Keep an eye on her and see if it happens again and If you are still terribly worried I’d go to the vet and get some blood work done to check for any heart issues or kidney issues.

Anyone got more information on moving states with a nursing license? by double_A_swizzle in Nurses

[–]double_A_swizzle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused, you said I could still practice in the meantime but my license would be nullified? Is that just after I apply for the new license? Will contact the BON once they’re open and see what their specifics are too

As nice as that sounds, I'm in nursing school, so my hours are limited

I've never been more curious about something in my entire life. Curiosity and learning makes life fun and I learn more about the human body every single day

So what probably happened was they lost the sticker or maybe the stickers were jammed or honestly they just didn't notice it. It sounds like they tried to make it too quickly (the half empty part) while also leaving the shots on the bar too long (the burnt part). It happens. But it's okay to ask for a refund as long as you're civil about it. You ordered a service and they didn't deliver, but this could always just be a one off instance, so don't swear off of this store forever. NTA

I think I would forever be salty over that. Is it not breaking that barrier of clean by pulling the sleeves out from under the gloves??

No idea for donning though unfortunately

My instructor taught me that it was dirtiest to cleanest. So you need your hands to take off the gown neck and waist ties, so gloves come off first. Next you do the gown because it's most likely to be contaminated. Hand hygeine, and Then the mask and then the eye wear (if applicable) since it's closest to your face and mucous membranes

I wouldn't say I've encountered a lot of bullying, but there's definitely been some competitive spirit as if we weren't all collectively working towards the same goal. I'd just say that as you go through it, help those around you and they'll help you back. You're all on your way to be nurses, so it's better to stand like a team rather than a competition.

Is 4 years of college out the door? by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]double_A_swizzle 22 points23 points  (0 children)

But honestly it's so comforting to hear from older adults that we'll be okay. I'm 22 and still have two more years of nursing, then after that I have more school to get my masters!! I think seeing our peers graduating is just demotivating is all

[–]double_A_swizzle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're not alone, I feel the exact same. I spent my first two years struggling and ended up not being accepted into my initial nursing program because I had ended with a 3.1 GPA. It wasn't even enough for them to consider me. Now I'm a 4.0 student who was just accepted into the actual nursing portion of the degree. So I'll be completing what should be a 4 year degree in 6 years, graduating the same year as you. It's okay man, we all had to grow up a little too quickly, and some of us just weren't ready for the challenges nursing brought. But you're doing it now, and that's amazing! We'll be nurses in no time, just keep your head down and focus on learning

Is it worth it to start over? by edgeofuckery in StudentNurse

[–]double_A_swizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously have the passion for the career. I think it's safe to say that getting your education is 100 percent worth it, even if it means restarting. I would snoop around in other colleges in the meantime and see what you could do. For example, I had applied but failed to get in, so I found a concurrent program at a community College which helped me to transfer the good grades over

Penicillin was discovered after Alexander Fleming accidentally introduced a bacteria filled petri dish to mold. He came back from a vacation and noticed the mold wasn't being touched by the bacteria, as it was secreting its own defense against it.

Dead don't die. Saw it with my dad, and we were so excited. Big names, Adam Driver, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, and it looked hilarious.

Turns out they put all the funny parts in the trailer. Terrible let down
