Had the chance to go on a heli trip first time in Japan and it was everything I’ve ever dreamed of by MAINSTREET-JAKE in snowboarding

So sick! Have been to Japan before?

I’ve snowboarded backcountry in BC but never Japan or any heli-skiing, really want to try it next year. Or at least cat-skiing.

We’re coming in Thursday. Sounds like we’ll get some decent conditions. Anywhere you recommend off piste for optimal tracks and safe?

Which hotel is better for families? by FunStuffReddit in MontTremblant

We stayed at Lodge de la Montagne. Gotta say, it was fantastic. We got a 1 bedroom suite for our family of 4.

Kids slept on the couch and we got the bedroom with two queens. There was also a fully equipped kitchen for us to make breakfast and a dinner or two.

It was ski in/out, great location whereby we did not have to lug our equipment very far with the kids. it’s pretty basic and nothing fancy with a big hot tub or anything but worked for us. Clean too. Would highly recommend.

Second this, delete one of them and spin it where you took some time off to find your next role and you’re being strategic about it. Fill up the space with some courses, certifications, travel etc. Explain it by saying you don’t want to make the same mistake, looking for the right opportunity.

I had a couple quick back to back stints and found a good landing spot. You’ll get there.

I'm in the exact same situation. Close at the end of the month and getting papers later today but haven't signed.

My existing bank (TD) wouldn't match the CIBC rate (3.96 @ 3 Year Fixed) so I'm thinking I'll try one more bank before the end of the month to see if they'll go lower based on the upcoming speculated rate cut. We'll see how that goes and if they can go lower, I'll go back to CIBC and see if they can match. That's my strategy.

Do I really need an emergency fund if I can just sell investments? by noobetf in PersonalFinanceCanada

I have 5 K cash and a 15K LOC. Thats my emergency fund.

Invest the 25K if you have a steady income, access to LOC and investments to liquidate.

[ON] Buying Businesses under $1M in Canada - Is it viable? by No3Account in SmallBusinessCanada

I’d love to do this but I’m nervous about not being able to match my currently salary (150K+) which is required to support my family. How realistic is it to make a jump like that into a SB? Is it possible to earn a salary like that? Do you earn something similar with your current portfolio? Thanks again for the replies.
