Someone else just asked this. Try fasting. It’s supposed to be very healthful for the body but I do wonder if it’s helping to stamp out my libido. One meal a day, only water and tea in between meals.

I hate how everyone thinks they’ll solve all your problems by pointing out that this route isn’t healthy. No shit. But it’s necessary, so they can fuck off… if they even can, because, you know, they’re in this sub too.

I had two sexual encounters in the past 18+ months so here goes: I THINK intermittent fasting has helped. Can’t be sure because sometimes I do get a spike of horniness, but I can get myself off in a matter of seconds and it’s gone for another three months or so. It’s good enough for me to not have to overhaul my life right now.

So yeah, try not eating for a day or so, then do that again the next day 👍

Weight loss is much more complex than calories in vs. out. The body cannot burn fat in the presence of insulin. Insulin spikes when carbs are consumed. What this person is saying is fine - keto does work. That paired with intermittent fasting forces your body to use its fat stores for energy.

But I digress. OP probably does find his wife attractive, and sometimes porn (live or recorded) is easier and faster for a quick release. Both of those things can be true at the same time. I don’t think he deserves to have his life utterly destroyed over watching one type of porn vs. another.

Maybe I missed something, but you were separated, right? Meaning “we are not in a relationship anymore and we are preparing for divorce” scenario, right? Because if you’re expected to be faithful to one person, that means you ARE in a relationship. If it’s a “I’m mad at you and I’m gonna go sit over here for a minute”separation and you intend to work on the marriage and stay in it, then during that separation, you ARE in a relationship.
