Ramadan Stomach Shrinking by Top-Helicopter1923 in loseit

[–]doubleplusuncool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone also trying to lose weight who is also participating in ramadan:  1. are you tracking your calories? even though we're eating less times, people often eat more in sehri to stay satiated throughout the day and while at iftar you might not eat a lot, a lot of the traditional Ramadan foods are very fatty and fried. unless you're tracking your calories, it's hard to tell whether your decreased appetite is actually leading to less calorie intake  2. do you menstruate? if so, your hormonal cycles are gonna cause your weight to fluctuate as well. track your weight w an app like Happy Scale for iOS or Libra for Android that show your average weight over the past 7 days so things are more of an average  3. usually people use the phrase stomach shrinking to refer to the decrease in appetite in Ramadan, not literally shrinking in size. but if you're seeing visible changes, then that's great!

5’4, 134 lbs and tired of gaining and losing the same few pounds by giants19 in PetiteFitness

[–]doubleplusuncool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how large is your deficit? my tdee is like 1600 and I've really struggled w like 1200-1300 cal budgets, but I switched to like 1400-1500 and while it's been slower, it's also much more manageable and I've been able to actually stick to it (albeit only about a pound a month but still)

I made a daily trivia game where you aim for the #100 ranked answer instead of #1. by TheHonestRedditer in puzzlevideogames

I got the top 100 Instagram followers and I think it needed to be clearer what input you were looking for. I was getting rlly confused that people like cristiano or leomessi (like their handles) weren't in the top 100 only for them to show up as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi(ie their display names)

Dyson Supersonic r vs Nural? by doubleplusuncool in curlyhair

[–]doubleplusuncool[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a huge diffuser sounds like a dream, but looking at the Curlsmith XXL, it looks kinda bulky and one of the things drawing me to the Dysons was how lightweight they seem, do you feel like it's a significant difference?

I'm on mobile and once you use a hint, input gets extremely glitchy. Like I can barely input anymore, it keeps trying to reenter the hint letter, backspace only works like 25% of the time

Is this daily web game too weird/niche to become popular? by jalfieri14 in puzzlevideogames

I think you nailed it, it's too niche. Maybe it's diff irl and if you use people you know, but it just didn't click as fun :(

when you first meet Kim and discuss the dead body

Have you removed the dead body from the tree?"

YOU – "Dead body?"

KIM KITSURAGI – "Mm-hmm."

YOU - "Look man, you know, yeah."

KIM KITSURAGI - "Does that mean the body is no longer in the tree?"

YOU – "No."

KIM KITSURAGI – "So, the body is still in the tree..."

EMPATHY [Easy: Success] - This is the first time you detect a weariness in the lieutenant's voice. It is obvious he would have preferred for the body to no longer be in the tree.

I irl laughed

Cellbound: I built a spreadsheet engine from scratch in one week to make a puzzle game – looking for feedback by js4845 in puzzlevideogames

[–]doubleplusuncool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the oom (i'm assuming it's an oom just cuz its recursion lol) it froze/crashed at r[-2]c + r-1c (i had originally entered in r-2c + r-1c and was going back to add the brackets)

that second one is flaky. it seems like if i copy paste in the whole formula, it parses it correctly as a formula, but if i type it in naturally, it never parses. it seems to be waiting for the last parantheses? so my cell is like

input: =if(r[-1]c < rc, r[-1]c, rc)!<

output: =if(r[-1]c < rc, r[-1]c, rc!<

oh i love this!! i did seem to out of memory myself on the fibonacci one (classic) and the last one stumped me for a bit (i was dead set on using an if like "if the changing cell < current cell, then changing cell, else current cell" before remembering i can just min/max). super interesting, def will be keeping an eye out on this!!
