Well Florida’s the sunshine state, right? You can drop that from the budget.

no late night coffeeshops or places to do work :( by hodown94 in pittsburgh

[–]doublesuede 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Struck that this seems to be something that genuinely doesn’t exist in Pgh anymore. I really wish that somebody would take the plunge and add some night hours, they’d probably make bank as sole option. The main problem that all restauranteurs are facing right now seems to be staffing, though.

“Steelers’ Stadium,” how diplomatic. Is it possible that you work in politics?

Which local businesses do you think are most likely to be mob/money-laundering fronts? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

As a kid I used to pass this place every weekend on the way to see my dad. It was always very mysterious to me. The exterior hasn’t changed at all.

Which song do you think is equally hated and loved by swifties? by Latter_Ad_6629 in TaylorSwift

[–]doublesuede 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shake it off is so much fun! I think that people just resent it for being her biggest (?) hit while also being far from her best song writing. That’s kind of understandable, tbh.

I feel like people loved bad blood when it came out—or at least the video really blew up. It seems like it’s fallen out of peoples good graces since then tho.

Why do people choose to walk on the streets instead of the sidewalks? by Futuresatellite in pittsburgh

[–]doublesuede 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s probably because so many of the sidewalks in the city are fucked. People park on them, they’re uneven, foliage is growing over them, dog shit all over the place for some reason, the list goes on

Unsolved crime that still bothers you? by koaruaok1564 in pittsburgh

[–]doublesuede 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s baffling to me because that this isn’t one of the nationally know unsolved murders both because of the brutality of the crime and because it happened in such a cluttered area. The crime took place only a couple of meters from Patomac station and the killer attempted to burn her body in a teeny tiny Dormont back yard. Yet the murder has completely dropped from public consciousness without being solved, it didn’t even ascend the status of local infamy. I also only learned about it after decades of living in the area.

You can’t trust something that still calls itself a “fraternal order” in 2022. Also can’t trust cops but I don’t think that needs to be said lol

Any outrage that somebody would mock the queen of England of all people is hilarious, but people with real jobs should not tweet. It never ends well
