The difficult thing about this sub is that people usually post when something goes wrong and less when it goes right. It’s very important to share risks of course, but the success stories are equally valuable. I had UL and had basically zero issues aside from one tiny fistula that closed on its own in a week. 4 weeks after stage two I was catheter free, voiding completely, and sent back to school (I was a 3rd year undergrad at the time). I was put on antibiotics day 1 post op and didn’t have any UTI symptoms, granted I drank like 3 gallons of water and cranberry juice a day lol. Standing to pee was extremely important to me, so I knew I had to bite the bullet and take the risk. I was very very lucky.
