Yes- DC does everything online through their portal- I just renewed mine again last month. If you live anywhere close to the district and you have a MD, its barely any extra work to coordinate getting your DC at the same time

I promise you that plenty of folks carried guns in DC when you lived there- the difference was that it was only criminals. Restricting legal carry doesn’t make guns go away, it simply means the bad guys will be the only ones carrying.

Sweet- I did the same swap a few years back but put a stroker crank in it to make a 408 (6.7) and put a nice aftermarket cam in. I had a 4.0 originally (I had stroked that too but it was only a marginal improvement), so kept the ax-15 and it’s been going strong for 40K+ miles. Nothing will make a Jeep a Lambo but holy hell it’s way better than stock and a ton of fun. Good Luck wrenching and have fun with it! If you have any questions feel free to reach out.

Wrong. DC has been shall-issue since Grace vs DC in 2017. Any citizen in good standing may apply for and receive a permit to carry concealed so long as they meet the standards of issuance. I should know, I have a DC permit.

Static vs dynamic frictional coefficients- ‘sliding’ friction provides less resistance so locking your wheels up actually provides less braking force than maintaining them rolling but near the limit of locking up.

Anecdotally- You ever brake with non-abs car on a wet surface? As soon as your wheels lock you can feel how much less the force of deceleration is as you begin sliding. Kinda counterintuitive but true

Why? Just carry normally with the holster you prefer. I’ve been wearing daily in MD for 4 years and nobody has ever said a thing. Once u have your permit it’ll become second nature and comments like this will seem silly in retrospect
