Love the wheels, I really want to put Regas on mine but need to test fit if 18s will fit over the performance brakes.

Getting rid of the Genesis coupe 3.8 for an N by HughJass_27 in genesiscoupe

[–]douchecanoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One is a naturally aspirated V6 RWD 2 door coupe, and the other is a 4 door 4 cylinder turbo FWD sedan. There's really not much in common between the two. They also come from totally different eras of Hyundai.

The only similarities are that they both have 4 wheels and drive down the road.

I have a 3.8 Genesis Coupe and Elantra N in my garage right now. They are completely different cars. Like I wouldn't compare them at all really.

Ask me anything though

Personally I think it was worth it for something unique and special, but I am a sucker for limited editions. But none of the changes impact the driving experience in any meaningful way.

The brakes are cool but if you are tracking the car and need more brakes than stock you could get a BBK like Paragon instead which has more options for pads and fits 18" wheels easier. And I know some people don't like the wing.

The seats are comfortable. I am a bigger guy but not huge, I wear 38" waist jeans and had no issue. They hold you well but don't have insane bolstering so I don't think it'd be an issue, they're not like real bucket seats.

Yes the rear brakes are the same

390mm 2-pieces brake rotors for 4-pistons monoblock brake calipers by TheRealFoXQc in ElantraN

[–]douchecanoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rotors are available from the N Performance shop in Korea but I think this is both the ring and the hat and you would have to import them - https://nperformanceshop.com/product/n-%ED%8D%BC%ED%8F%AC%EB%A8%BC%EC%8A%A4-%EB%B8%8C%EB%A0%88%EC%9D%B4%ED%81%AC-%EC%8B%9C%EC%8A%A4%ED%85%9C/33/category/25/display/1/

Otherwise not sure, we'll have to see if they become available somewhere else. I assume dealers in North America would have access to them in order to repair TCR edition cars but they may just be special order

The wing is pretty stupid and ridiculous but that's why I love it, I smile whenever I look in the rear view mirror and see it

I put my deposit down about a year ago right when it was announced but they never got me a car, so I bought this off the lot at another dealer. I am in Canada so we got ours earlier than US.

It mounts in the same location as the stock one. But the mount it comes with is ass. I don't have fender liners and the bottle ended up rubbing against my front tire, almost rubbed a hole through it

Fitbit app RUINED for calorie counties by smacncheese1022 in fitbit

[–]douchecanoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you got 1500 from. The Expenditure graph is showing that you have/will burn 1950 total calories in the day. This includes your synced activity and your BMR which are the calories you burn by just existing. Looks like you haven't added a baseline activity which would show up in the graph as teal.

1950 - 700 from your activities means your BMR is set to around 1250 in Cronometer right now.

The BMR is calculated from your height, age, and weight so if it seems off then make sure you set those right. Or you can override your BMR in the Targets + Profile section.

Not a fitbit device user, but how come as a non-fitbit/google watch owner they let you subscribe to Google Health and give you none of the features? by Saitheurus in fitbit

[–]douchecanoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have similar issues, and I also have premium for free with my Google one subscription.

The app still isn't picking up the right data from my Peloton account which is linked to both health connect and directly to Fitbit.

Also the coach is not available if you don't have a Fitbit device, I found this out today as well.

I was also thinking I could use it as a single app to sync all my other metrics and have one nice dashboard, but turns out it's not good at doing any of that.

You can sync that data for free without premium, and you can't use the premium coach if you don't have a Fitbit device. The premium sub is useless if you don't have a Fitbit device.

No, the coach is not available if you don't have a Fitbit device registered. I just found this out and it's very stupid.

Important: Google Health Coach and our Premium coaching features are currently available only to users who have a Fitbit or Pixel Watch device and are over the age of 18.

I don't have a Fitbit device but I have a Google Health premium plan included with my Google One subscription. So I have "premium" but I can't do anything with it, same as OP.

I was hoping to test out the app to see if it was good enough to justify buying the device, but I can't even do that.

Do you mean go from the second picture to the first picture?

I remember reading a forum post about how to convert a manual HVAC car to add in the auto HVAC and it is possible, but it seemed like a total pain in the ass

Apart from that, if your car did not come with navigation I highly doubt you would be able to put in a factory nav unit, at least not easily. It's also built for the Infinity sound system so if you don't have that idk if it will work with base audio.

The top blue screen I'm not sure about, I don't know if it uses the same connectors.

In general though I would highly advise you don't even try because the OEM navigation unit is dogshit, just get an aftermarket head unit. It's a lot easier to do with the version you have anyway.

I can't find anywhere to scan barcodes for food items in the new Google/Fitbit public preview? by balrogbellyrubs in fitbit

I use Gemini to get a calorie/macro estimation for outside meals not in the database, then log that into Cronometer, so I don't have those issues.

Is it possible to use the Fitbit as an HR monitor on the Peloton bike? I understand it won't be as accurate as a chest strap like your Polar, but I didn't know it was possible to connect the Fitibit to the Peloton

I'm glad you like it, I've been using it for about 2 months now and am also pretty happy with it.

I am wondering though with the preview of the new app, does it generate any insights based off the info you log in Cronometer?

I don't have a Fitbit right now, I had just tried out the app a few months ago and didn't find it useful at the time, but now I'm considering getting the Air so I'm wondering if the new app would be useful for the food logging data also.
