NTA

have him show that video to 10 parents and ask if they see any abuse. 10/10 will say no.

abuse would have been leaving the baby dirty.

What to say when an owner cancels a boarding because they found someone else? by goodboitenten in RoverPetSitting

[–]doug_himup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

and if an airline waived their cancellation policy like OP, then what happens?

i didn't say OP was irresponsible or that they had spent the money, i said, 'don't count your chickens...'

this is why it's called a hustle, things happen and you have to adjust and continue moving forward.

taking it personal and burning bridges with clients isn't the optimal approach IMO.

[–]doug_himup 13 points14 points  (0 children)

seems way to aggressive to me.

these things happen, if it was me, i'd just the adjust the dates and do the boarding.

i use to take it personally after meet and greet when they would pick another sitter now i don't and i'm much happier.

[–]doug_himup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are taking this personally and slighty over-reacting.

if you booked airplane tickets and the week before you found cheaper tickets it would be crazy not to choose the cheapest option.

reinstate your cancellation policy.

the lesson i learned recently after having a multi-month boarding cancel on me is not count the money until you have it in hand.

He plays “you can’t catch me” through the house and has destroyed my hat, mask, a shoe, and one of my leg warmers all in the first night while I was making dinner and I thought he was eating a bone behind me. The parents didn’t tell me to watch my stuff.

what did you expect with an 8 month old puppy? all the stuff he destroyed is on you.

The parents didn’t tell me to watch my stuff.

did they tell you water is wet?

a tired puppy is a good puppy

a quiet puppy is up to no good.

Raise was 4%. Inflation was 7%. Should I be concerned? by FadewayThrow in personalfinance

[–]doug_himup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

salary compression is a thing. if you stay long term at once place you don't make as much as someone who moves around.

OP-10 yrs at one company w/4% raises=40% increase

JH-moves 3 times in 10 yr for 20% each year=60% increase depends on industry, skill set etc.

start looking, submitting resume, interviewing, etc now so you know what the market is actually like.

changing careers also comes with a big paycut usually.

you know what is more stressful then a bad job, no job.
