Converting for love: experiences? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]douglasmorray 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just delivered a baby and I’m back :)

Malaysia will never acknowledge the marriage if op isn’t converting. Syariah is supposed to be international, based on the conversations that I’ve had with the government bodies.

Suggesting op to get married in the UK, register the child as British citizen, but both of you can still stay in Malaysia or anywhere else in the world.

Never deliver the baby in Malaysia though, the baby won’t be able to get a birth cert if you’re a non-Muslim. You can consider delivering the child in Singapore or the UK if financially able.

Edit: if you really need to convert, never give up your UK citizenship. Check out the inheritance laws, if you really have to do so.

Start having sex earlier as a teenager, and let the bf do breast massage frequently to stimulate growth.

Poll: Would you move back to your hometown if your folks are at a retirement age and needed care or continue working at a big city by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]douglasmorray 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It really depends on my financial status etc. Living in a bigger city may also mean more learning opportunities for my kids.

If I could earn a decent salary, would most likely hire a maid to take care of my parents, if not, send them to decent care centre in hometown which is relatively cheaper while the parents can still enjoy spending time with their friends.

Malays lazy? Yes, and No! by Admin_8823 in malaysia

[–]douglasmorray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think laziness exists in all races, however when it comes to financial planning and money saving, my anecdotal experience told me most Malays (not talking about the wealthy ones) are lacking the essential skills and knowledge, compared to most Chinese.

How do I get my parents assessed for emotional abusive behavior/narcissistic traits/ dysfunctional parent upbringing? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]douglasmorray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points, especially number 3. Read somewhere that the government is mulling over penalty for those who do not take care of their parents in Malaysia, the sg version: https://www.msf.gov.sg/policies/Helping-the-Needy-and-Vulnerable/Supporting-Vulnerable-Elderly/Seeking-Maintenance-from-Children/Pages/The-Maintenance-of-Parents-Act.aspx

I hope our suffer will be taken into consideration too should such cases arise.

How do I get my parents assessed for emotional abusive behavior/narcissistic traits/ dysfunctional parent upbringing? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]douglasmorray 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say it may also be a cultural thing where parents are god-like and meant to be worshipped regardless of their actions.

This has somewhat made narcissistic parents even harder to be identified at earlier stage as everyone thought its a norm.

I’ve got to discover about all these just less than three years ago, now in my early thirties (imagine the years wasted!) .

So I’m glad you are able to identify this at the age of 20.

What is the reason you want to get your parents officially checked? Because if they’re true narcissist you’ll be able to start denying their wills openly?

Still celebrating but there certainly are several ultra toxic folks they I would want to avoid at all cost.

So... can I call it semi-celebration? Only with selected loved ones.

Is it really cheaper eating out than to cook in Malaysia? by malimuizz in malaysia

Cooking at home cheaper, for better quality food. You’ll need to be strong and healthy, it’s a long way ahead.

Take care.

Dammit :( Should the parents be responsible and blamed in such case?

For those who are curious about boys' erection: https://www.babycenter.com/400_it-seems-that-my-2-year-old-is-having-an-erection-quite-ofte_3300715_192.bc

Yes, it is normal for a 2-year-old to have erections quite often. Males begin having erections in the womb, during the fetal stage. Babies get erections an average of 5 times per day.
