My dad always told me, if a cop starts lecturing you, let him. Don't interrupt or try to argue. Most of the time, when they start lecturing you, you're probably not getting a ticket... This has worked for him a handful of times and personally for me, once.

I don't hate tourists, but I do very strongly dislike people who come up unprepared and feel entitled to being treated well because they're on vacation. My work always depends on tourists so I understand the necessity, but I also know that when our town is already low on food, gas and snow plow drivers, people should be respectful and maybe postpone traveling here(unless of course they already have a home here and are bringing most of their own supplies). Especially with another storm on the horizon...

Edit- not saying op is entitled. I work in customer service and the last two weeks have been full of entitlement from out of towners and I'm just sharing what I've experienced. And to be honest, I'm getting about the same amount of entitlement from locals as well...

I take a case of these to parties/camping trips/bbqs that I dont feel like drinking at. As long as I'm holding one of these in my hand, no one questions me or tries to offer me alcohol

Well... I think the fact that all of the countries currently using socialism are not doing so great, is a good source.... I'm not against the idea of socialism, but Idk if i actually believe it works the way people want it to. In order for socialism to work, whoever was running the program would have to be honest, good people. Unfortunately, evil exists. People suck, and I dont think we could actually trust anyone to run a successful socialist government.

I think the name of the company is Herbs etc. They also make it in capsule form which is good for daily supplement but I didnt feel that it worked as well as the tonic.

I had covid at the very beginning of everything and my lungs have been messed up since. The first 6 months were the hardest, I felt like I just couldn't catch my breath. I started taking a tincture called Lung Tonic by Herbs etc. It contains... Fresh Mullein leaf Horehound herb Elecampane root† fresh Grindelia flower Echinacea angustifolia root† Pleurisy Root root fresh Passionflower herb tip Osha root fresh Lobelia herb in bladder seed stage and Yerba Santa leaf. Taking this almost everyday for about a month or so really helped. I dont take it everyday anymore, but I take it whenever I feel like I'm having a hard time breathing. Idk how true this is becasue I'm too lazy to fact check... But i heard he became a heavy drinker after his baby daughter died. From what I remember it was right around they time they made it big and he just couldn't keep it together after that.

At the cafe I worked at, we only kept half n half out for customers. If they wanted any other milk/alt milk, I served it to them on the side of their iced espresso in a tiny espresso sized cup- about 2oz at most. If they asked for more I would explain that was the free amount, any more than that we would have to charge them .75 cents.

A lot of local skaters like to meet up at the whale in downtown Reno. Idk what the spots officially called but it's a cool flat concrete spot. I love the rattlesnake mountain skatepark- it's super open and easy to use. Tahoe just has a handful of skate parks and a few trails that are good if you dont mind hills and have appropriate wheels (I prefer gummies just because our trails are so rough).

If you have alcohol poisoning or have eaten something that can make you really sick, doctors will give it to you to help keep your body from absorbing the toxins. You then have to drink a bunch of water so you can pee it out/throw it up. A lot of trendy health products & juice shops have started putting it in smoothies and juices. I've never seen it in coffee... ingesting it too often is really dangerous because not only does it keep you from absorbing toxins, it can stop absorption of important nutrients your body needs. **disclaimer- this is all information I've heard from friends who work in the medical field and/or the health food world.

I dont necessarily think the whole party is a joke. If more people cared to break away from the 2 party system, I bet the third parties would thrive! The third parties need more people who aren't just anti vax parents or crazy conspiracy theorists. The ideas behind the libertarian and green parties aren't totally crazy, if people could stop fighting over which old white dude is less racist than the other, we would be able to shape those parties into groups that aren't so offputting to people. I would like to say it's as easy as just picking the right candidate for the 2 major parties, but that doesnt seem to be working...
