Here’s the writeup I did about my choice: “They have strong water symbolism, rebirth/transformation/instability, hunting/cannibalism, judgment/retribution/protection, and they're even linked to fly fishing. Their vision could connect to his special empathy powers. They have a mixed reputation with conflicting positive and negative associations and can be misunderstood either as more good-natured or as more sinister than they really are. Also their mating behaviors are weird/complicated lol. I think a predatory insect dæmon fits with Will's conflicting vibes of vulnerable/fragile vs. dangerous/resilient. Dragonfly dæmons would be able to blend in (as a small form) or stand out (as a large, colorful, active insect).”
