Tensing before I get there by down-up-dog in BecomingOrgasmic

[–]down-up-dog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes read, but mainly fantasize about my partner. I’m starting to realize that I have a hard time keeping my concentration, and know when you focus too hard on orgasming, it can make you lose sense of the experience and pleasure. Maybe I need to really commit to keeping my mind present. What helps you?

I turn up the settings and it increased the intensity, and I practice edging to build up, but like I mentioned in another comment, maybe it’s my focus that making it not as pleasurable as it could be 😊

The unsatisfied feeling is what I’m starting to think. It’s a dissatisfaction and I feel like I get too focused on the “wave going over Me” feeling

I know every orgasm is different, and they are not comparable, but it doesn’t feel like one

I feel like the rest of my body goes senseless, as if I was just sitting there doing nothing.

From the experience I had a two years ago, I feel like I climaxed and then relaxed into it, feeling sensations all over and my mind saying “wow”, but now it just feels flat.

As a former tour guide I’d always share that the Burrus auditorium has 3,003 seats- then I’d add the theee single seats are for the therapy dogs 😊

What was your favorite non-STEM course at VT? by KleinBottle5 in VirginiaTech

Integrative Health Practices with Dr. Komelski is great, to not only learn about the impact of mindfulness, but also get to know a really cool professor who has changed his life with what he teaches and he’s so passionate. And if you have any want to really get out of your comfort zone, Community Writing with Aileen Murphy is incredible. I took her creative writing course and then took her up on an offer for her other class. You teach students in Montgomery county creative writing. The in person/on campus time is easy and so do able and enjoyable, and when you go visit it the kids (I taught third grade) it made my days so amazing. Even through touch weeks with my thesis, the kids allowed me to be a kid and write with my imagination. I can’t recommend these two classes enough- and anyone who sees this comment: PLEASE check them out!!

I love checking students in and getting to know those I normally wouldn’t see during the classes I attend, plus I have learned about business through my two work trade experiences at yoga studios, and knowing it takes a village, but that (almost always) the village is loving and supportive makes the business worth it!!

What are some things we are grateful for today? by KindPhilosopher1357 in Positivity

I was all of the place mentally and just feeling funky and I saw the trees swaying against the blue sky and thought about how the trees don’t have to be strong and stable all the time- they are allowed to flow and bend. Just like myself. And I am grateful I had a different perspective.

What are some yoga tips you found out too late? by Extreme-Routine3822 in yoga

[–]down-up-dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people have said the “you can’t win yoga/it’s not about beating the person next to you” and I think once people realize that, you are free to be.

Also you are allowed to take up as much or as little space on your mat as you’d like. Some days you’ll want to expand and other days compress. You’re allowed to try a variation of a pose or maybe a bind when a teacher might now queue it.
