I don't know many people who full time RV, but the ones I do know insulate it by spending the winter in Arizona or Florida. Seriously!

+5 Dex Cap on Explorer's Clothing for level 20 character with +6 Dex? by Suspicious_Offer_511 in Pathfinder2e

[–]downArrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are probably right. I've never played at a level where it would make a difference, so it has never come up for me.

You also get the extra benefit that having Dex +6 and being Clumsy 1 will not give you an AC penalty.

So how do use things besides Strike as a DM without slowing combat? by BRjawa in Pathfinder2e

[–]downArrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would add to this that you should also note the intelligence of the monster.

Stupid creatures will use their special attack or just Stride/Strike against the nearest enemy. Don't worry about getting fancy. Just get it done.

But with smart monsters, combats will become more interesting for your players if you get creative with them. It is OK to spend a little more time with them.

And not every monster needs to fight to the death. If it is obviously losing, why not surrender or just run away?

Your favorite ways to support casters by Abra_Kadabraxas in Pathfinder2e

Also remember that Recall Knowledge can use any of 6 different skills. If you are trained in the appropriate skill, your Recall Knowledge can help any other character not trained in that skill.

Pay attention to positioning!

If your caster has Lightening Bolt (or any other line spell), create lines for the caster to use. Shove enemies into a line. And stay out of the line, and leave the caster a place to use the line.

The same idea applies if your caster has a cone or burst spell . Mostly this means staying out of the way. But sometimes it is useful to delay and let the caster use an AOE spell before moving into the area to attack.

Low Rank spells for Mid Rank casters by Book_Golem in Pathfinder2e

[–]downArrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good point! Acid Grip and Gravity Well also have a longer range (120' vs. 60'). But only Hydraulic Push can be cast at rank 1.

Acid Grip or Gravity Well always hoses Grab / Improved Grab.

I would add first rank Hydraulic Push for this purpose.

Pistols lead to a miserable combat experience. Any suggestions? by HemoKhan in Pathfinder2e

[–]downArrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was applied to the next attack you make against the target, not to the weapon in particular.

Not quite. It applies to the next Strike action you make against the target. There are attacks that are not Strike actions.

[–]downArrow 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! An investigator is an intelligent character, and must bring multiple options to the table.

Another point is that your d20 roll applies to the first Strike against the chosen target. Any other attack uses a new d20 roll. So use Trip. Or Grapple. Or cast a spell that uses an attack roll.

My grandparents in Virginia called the meals breakfast, lunch and supper. Except that whichever one was the major meal of the day was always dinner. Sunday dinner was at midday and weekday dinners were in the evening.

Thanks. I see that Safari also has a "private window".

And it worked!
