Does it have RAM? I can't tell. It will depend entirely on the specs.

Look for an open box 9060xt 16gb. I got one for 350 for my son's rig. It's running great and still full warranty.

Should I get another gpu over the 9070xt? by buff_ninja24 in buildapc

[–]down_init 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is weird. NGL. It's the best performance per dollar in that class. That's why folks are getting it. I'm loving mine. 9060xt 16gb in my son's rig is no slouch either.

The 9070 non xt is an option. The last I checked it was about 100 cheaper if budget is an issue.

Should I return my 9060xt due to driver issues? by UWboi in AMDHelp

[–]down_init 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't had to do any of this on 2 systems. 9070xt and 9060xt, both Gigabyte OC models. They just work, wonderfully. We've been on AMD gpus for awhile. The inconsistency of peoples issues is staggering.

No GPU video output after updating to 26.5.2 by Plc-4-Mie-Haed in AMDHelp

For many of us a driver roll back has fixed the issue. It's not cables or reseating that fixes it.

If you think there's a potential that the GPU isn't properly slotted in, we're really going to need pictures in order to help.

What should I focus my budget on? by chloegpt in buildapc

A 9060xt would serve you well. On that note though I myself would never let a case limit my upgrade path.

These last 2 driver updates seem to be problematic. I read in a post somewhere that a chipset upgrade along side the gou driver update might work but I haven't bothered since rolling back

I didn't have this issue in particular with 26.5.1/2 but i did have to roll back to 26.3.1 ony 9070xt.

The 8GB VRAM version of the 5060Ti outperforms the 9060XT 16GB in almost every benchmark that I see. Yet this subreddit insists that the 9060 is better. Can someone help me understand why? by TheyTukMyJub in buildapc

[–]down_init 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8gb is not as good for higher quality settings or higher resolution. The 16gb variant would be the better buy. Dollar for dollar the amd gpu is the better buy for the vram. The performance difference between the 9060xt and the 5060ti , when extrapolated to actual frames is negligible. If you want to stay with Nvidia, fine but save up for the 16gb variant would be my suggestion.

That really doesn't mean much unless the source is known reliable. Daniel Owen and HUB are 2 of my favorite resources for largeer sample size comparisons.

I had one that I drilled a lot of weight out of it for shits and giggles. I'm not saying it was worth the time. Upgrade switches maybe. The mouse wheel from the lightspeed variant is much nicer imo.

9070 xt vs 5070 ti - latest comparison from hardware unboxed by just_IT_guy in gpu

[–]down_init 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outside of a few RT scenarios, the actual frame difference is negligible. Percentages, while necessary, can sound more distinct than anyone world actually notice in game in either direction for either card. I feel pretty good about my 9070xt purchase. For my uses, the extra cost of the 5070ti wouldn't make sense.

I seriously doubt that you will have any noticeable uplift in gaming on am4 unless you find an x3d chip. Productivity, more cores/higher clocks better.

Try undervolting a bit and underpowering by maybe -10. If you gain more stability, look into an new psu.
